ok i just realized a "milestone" of mine and wanted to share.
3 years ago (6/16/2008), there were about 10 or 15 of us who joined peertrainer.com. remember that??
my highest weight was in january 2008 (well, I dont really know - it might have been higher the year before, but i didnt weigh myself in 2007, i didnt have a scale before the wedding....haha - i gained weight my senior semester of college in 2006 and pretty sure i kept that weight for a year) sure, i was never super overweight, but i think my "woah/realization" point was at a dr's appt when i saw the weight chart and it indicated i was 1 lb away from being considered "overweight" for my height.
after dh & i got married/moved in together, i started eating healthier because his eating habits were much better than mine. after 6 months, i'd lost about 7 pounds just with by eating better. i dont think at that point i was working out much, if any.
so then enter peertrainer.com. we logged what we ate, what our workouts were, etc..... i defintely worked out more often, but not too much. maybe went to the gym 3 days a week. a lot of it was correcting and maintaining my eating habits - switching regular soda for diet. switching 6 oreos for 100 calorie packs. etc switching my 3pm m&m snack to my 3pm banana. switching processed food for natural...... and by november of 2008 (5 months later), i'd lost an additional 13 lbs making it a total of 20 lbs in 2008!!
i am proud to say that i've kept that off since then (i've had some ups and downs in the middle -- +/- 3-5 lbs) but i am so happy 3 years ago i made that decision to join & stick with peertrainer and more impotantly the decision to lose the weight!
be encouraged if you are working on weight loss - you can do it if you just stick with it!! it takes time, but it stays off longer!!

Great job!
I too have been losing weight slowly...I already hit my 20 lb goal a few months ago. My next goal is to lose a pants size by the end of August.
And, you are so right about being encouraged, and sticking with it!
