Wendytoo- wedding dress related

Okay, this is what you do. Find the designer dress.  Try it on to make sure it is flattering.  If you can, take pictures of yourself in the dressing room (probably, you will not be allowed to do so).  Take the pictures and the pictures off of the website to the Bridal Showroom on May.  Tell Moe your budget.  Ask Moe to replicate.

This is how I had my wedding dress made - the process was soooo sooo fun (fittings and such) and it looked exactly how I wanted it to look.

Re: Wendytoo- wedding dress related

  • I remember when I was on The Knot there were several brides who had Moe make their dresses, and they were all very happy with the results.

(edited because I thought "Knot" and typed "Nest")

  • Oh, I remember that name too.  Can we see your dress again for reference?  Wink I think I actually remember it, but I wasn't exactly looking then.

The thing that I loved most about it was that IT FIT. I am so flat chested and most of the dresses I tried on in the stores were very padded up top so I looked like I had huge DD breasts or something - it was awful.  He was somewhat against me having such a large ball gown given that I am so short but he eventually caved.  I will admit that something more form fitting would have been more flattering and I appreciated all of his advice but I really wanted a huge dress.

    Ooo la la! :)

I went to talk to Moe about a dress last year, and ultimately went with another option. He seemed very professional, and I'd heard great things about him, though. I bought another dress due to price and laziness.

  • He also made one of my friend's dresses - he copied a Vera for her - it was well under $1k.  I think the original was somewhere near $15k.

  • Stripes, your dress is fabulous and it fits you perfectly!  You're very pretty.

My sister in law had our bridesmaids dresses made by Moe.  He did a really great job.  It fit all of us perfectly.  If I had a pic I would post it, but unfortunately I don't!
