My husband and I would like to find more couples to hang out with. Most of our friends are not married and single. I moved here a few years ago and my husband isn't a social butterfly. We've started to want to hang out with more couples because we just have more things in common. Has anyone had this experience? If so, any suggestions on how to find more couple friends in Philadelphia.
Re: Couple Friends
Go to get togethers and meet people that way.
meetup.com is another option.
My little nuggets
Hi Pamela,
My fiance and I moved from the midwest to California a year ago. I agree that couple-friends make relationships healthier and give you friends to hang with that have more things in common with you than some of your single friends. We enjoy going out to low-key dinners with other couples because we like conversation.
When we started trying to meet new couple-friends, we stumbled upon a website called Kupple.com. It's basically a social network for couples to meet other couple-friends that have similar interests and live in the same area (NOT a swingers site! :-)). I was hesitant at first, but we met one of our favorite couples on the site.
Good luck!
Since you have two posts, both of which are about this site, I'm going to go ahead and declare you a vendor. Get lost.
You should for sure check out www.DINKlife.com, it is a new site for couples without kids. We are just starting out - and have local boards, you could go there and start a group.
There are a ton of DINKs out there, you just have to find them. We also have a hilarious DINK video that you should check out you can find it on the site. We launched DINKlife because we were having the same issues you are finding couples without kids to hang out with, or all of our friends were single and ready to mingle...so we are passionate about what we are doing for the DINK community.
Personally, I found that Kupple was pretty lame, and not for a more high end audience;)
Call yourself out as a vendor...
