D&R: what kind of window treatment? PIP

What kind of window treatment would you hang here? Only the right door opens. Something above the doors, or hanging on each individual door? Blinds, drapes?

If price didn't matter I'd do add on blinds:

Re: D&R: what kind of window treatment? PIP

  • Hmm... I'd probably do individual roman or bamboo shades, or those roller shades. On our french door at our old house we had a white roller shade from ikea that was super low profile when rolled up and blended in with the door.

    Here's a pic of it:

  • Oh, I really like those roller shades! I can't find them on Ikea's website, boo.

  • Hmm... I can't find them either... looks like they got rid of a bunch of stuff. WTF, Ikea.

  • We have blinds on ours that match our window blinds and then the drapes hang over both sides (so we basically treated it like a window).  The drapes annoy me now though and we're thinking about taking them down and just leaving the blinds.

  • We have the add on blinds similiar to watch you PIP'd on our back door. We got them from Lowe's and I don't think they were too expensive (that was over 3 years ago, so I don't know about the price now). I like the roll up shade too.
