Well screw you too Monday!
Wow, I'd say good morning, but so far this one has been pretty much anything but.
Some yahoo tried to drive into my on the highway this morning. I wasn't even in his blind spot, he just didn't look. Then I came into work to discover that my battery/power supply for my fancy pants computer went down sometime between 12-8am Saturday, bring down my computer and all the work I had running over the weekend crashed. Blargh.
In good news, I won a 60 minute phone consult with Leigh Peele! Through the contest she's got going on right now they pick 2 winners each week at random for a prize, and I was chosen this week.
The rest of today will be better.

We'll just not tell H about this little fact, m'kay?

Re: Well screw you too Monday!
As my post below indicates, our weekend was filled with great news, but today the work begins to get all the paperwork and second homestudy done. I am going to be blowing up some phones in about an hour.
Pretty much my whole week is going to consist of getting all our paperwork together. I have to admit, it's a bit scary.
Morning ladies. My day is a usual day work and no play. Seriously I am ready for a vacation! One month and counting! Not that I am doing anything exciting, but just to be away from here is a bonus.
My weekend was filled with shopping. My BFF, the boys and I want shopping all day Saturday. Thankfully I found an outfit for a wedding I'm going to on Saturday.
Yesterday, I went to the Apple store, got DH's Iphone replaces, and last minute went to the Picture people and got photo's of the boys for Fathers Day.
That was the extent. Have a great Monday Ladies.
Morning! Weekend was good but unproductive. Just one trip to the gym and some beer on Friday to celebrate the new job. I spent yesterday watching the Rifftrax of Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. Not as funny as it could've been.
Today should be interesting. The president and VP come in to do some kind of presentation for the agency's head, and I also get to have a discussion with them about leaving. I'm just happy that my immediate supervisor and our colleague were cool with everything. The P and VP? Meh.
Tonight is laundry night, and I might push to go to the gym. But other than that, low key!
My weekend was busy as anticipated. I feel like I could go back to bed and sleep the day away to make up for my busy weekend (especially since it's rainy outside). I did get some peaches from the farmer's market this weekend and couldn't be happier that peaches are available already.
Tonight I have no major plans so I'm hoping to get caught up on housework and take it easy. I also desperately need to get in a good workout tonight since I ate like crap all weekend and didn't have time to get in a single workout.
Good morning! Sorry, raynes, about the craptastic start to your week.
I've already called my nurse and left a long and rambling message about what we'd like to do if the Dr. oks it. She's out today and I didn't want to talk to the nurse covering for her, so I'll just wait to hear from her tomorrow.
My boss is back from being out of the office the last two days, so he should be all in a tizzy and up in everybody's business. Plus he called me last night to get the address for our office (which is on his business cards - idiot) because he left his laptop somewhere and is having it overnighted. This really means that he will have nothing to do but bother people until it gets here. Oh joy, oh rapture unforeseen.
Tomorrow morning I have that job interview so I need to do some prep work tonight. They sent me the job description and it is definitely a step up in responsibility from what I'm doing now. I feel like I am probably not the most qualified candidate they are going to interview, especially in this job market, but we'll see how it goes. It's been so long since I've had an interview and the social anxiety makes it not my strong suit, but I seem to do better when I'm not really looking, so who knows. The practice and networking never hurts.

Happy Monday!
Jordan leaves for camp today. I am getting off work at 1 to go pick him and Eli up to take him. He is so excited. I am going to cry like a baby, but not in front of him of course. I do have a to do list made for the week of things I want to get done after Preston goes to bed. We leave for Florida in 2 weeks so I need to do some much needed cleaning and organizing.
So did you for sure decide to take the other job? I may have missed the follow-up on that.
I am happy I kicked off the week on a good foot - got up early, got to the gym BEFORE work (I almost always go after), got to work nice and early. Now I am hoping I can leave rather early and have the rest of the evening to spend with H when he comes home this afternoon. He's leaving tomorrow for a trip to DC and then again on Friday for another trip down south, so I want to make the most of our time together today.
Today I am going to do some laundry and go to the gym this evening. Besides that I really don't have much planned.
My sisters wedding is coming up really fast, it is in less than a month. I have to start writing a speech.
Yep, I put it into the Friday thread late. My supervisor and colleague (who I travel with) were super understanding AND thrilled for me.
It came down to needing a new challenge (and it helped that I was able to negotiate salary!).
Oh yay, I'm so happy for you - and especially since you were able to negotiate the salary! Congrats!
Susi - congrats on the new job!
reba - good luck with your interview!
We had a super productive weekend. We mostly stayed home and got a few projects done - installed a closet organizer in our bedroom to double the hanging space (so we could clear stuff out of the other rooms), put up some window film on the front door which previously had NO privacy whatsoever, and I started a photo gallery wall in the living room. The gallery wall took me exactly 2.5 hours to measure it all out, mark everything with tape, and hang up the nails (I know because I was watching Hellboy on TV and it took the entire duration of the movie) but it looks great - totally worth it.
One of these days I'll do some kind of a house bio...

Morning Ladies.
The weekend was a good one. We tried a new restaurant for my birthday dinner and it was so good. Saturday, I had a prenatal massage and then DH and I ran some errands. We still have not gotten anything accomplished with the nursery and I am getting a little stressed about that. We can't even nail down a paint color.
Yesterday, we went to the Twins game with family and then did some work around the house.
Tonight, I am going to start packing for my trip to Ohio for my first round of baby showers, do some laundry and cleaning.
Have a great day ladies.
Oy my weekend was eventful. I had a great time with friends on Friday and Saturday. One terrible case of dropping my phone and now the screen doesn't light up. I went to the Verizon store and I should have a new one by the end of this week. I hope it comes soon. I can only see my screen if the screen is very clean and in bright light.
. Found a new favorite drink. Pinnacle whipped vodka with pineapple juice. I felt like Will Ferrel in Old School. "It feels so good when it hits your lips." Went to a fantastic restaurant Sunday. The weekend was eventful and good.
Good morning everyone. Reba, good luck on the interview! Raynes, I hope the day gets better.
The weekend was really good and fairly productive. It was the first weekend in about a month where I didn't work at all, and I definitely needed it. Friday, B and I checked out this new French Mexican restaurant in our neighborhood, and it was delish. Saturday, we were super productive, getting our tile, vanities, and plumbing fixtures ordered for our bathroom remodels. It's taken us a long time to make decisions on what we wanted, and it feels great to finally have the process moving forward. Saturday night we took my grandpa for dinner. I love spending time with him and wish I did it more often. Yesterday, we had a friend over for brunch, then had some lazy time, followed by a trip to Home Depot to look at medicine cabinets and the like.
Today, I'm not feeling well and am working from home.
Pretty uneventful weekend for us. It was pouring rain so we skipped the fair with the naked bicyclist. I was kind of bummed, but later in the day we heard a ton of hooting and hollering, they all came riding down our road! (picture stolen off the web)
I've got a job interview tonight, and I'm super nervous. Dh is also OOT, so it's throwing my whole Monday off.
Good Luck Reba!
I'm having a craptastic start to my week, too.
I didn't sleep well at all this weekend, as I'm in pretty constant pain in my back and hips now. Another 10 weeks to go, so I'm hoping to find a masseuse or chiropractor who can help me out a little. My appointment this morning didn't go well, considering I've gained a ton of weight that I really didn't see coming. I'm not eating dozens of donuts a day (or any for that matter), so my usual carb intake must be making me balloon apparently. She said it's a pretty common weight increase for someone who loves carbs as much as I do. I'm just dreading the rest of this pregnancy. I'm also terrified there's something wrong that they're not catching to account for all this weight gain so fast. Just a weepy mess this morning.
This is getting long and depressing, so I'm just gonna go and drink some water and browse the web for the day.
In other news, I'm so excited that there's finally some good news on here for the August ladies.
My weekend was pretty good--the reunion went great and it was really fun to see people and I was only a little hungover yesterday...but I'll see raynes crappy Monday and raise you...
I started having heavier bleeding and cramping on Saturday, though nothing horribly significant, so I didn't worry too much. Then I woke up this morning doubled over in pain from cramping. I went into work and lasted an hour and then had to leave. I called the doctor who said he could see me at 10:20, so I ran to the grocery store before I headed to the office (since we had no food at home). I had heavy bleeding at the grocery store (which actually made the cramping a little better...go figure). Then I went into the doctor. Long story short, I am not reacting normally to the D&C and my uterus is rebelling. He put me on some meds that should make my uterus shrink up more quickly which in turn should stop the bleeding and cramping, but I am relegated to the couch for the rest of the day. Hopefully I'll be okay to go to school tomorrow since there is a training that I will have to make up on my own time if I don't. Oh, and the best part was the paper thin walls that let me hear the woman's appointment yesterday who "might cut back on smoking with her boyfriend" now that she is 7.5 weeks pregnant. Ugh.
On the bright side, I should get to lay in the sun to read later and the doctor said that it shouldn't push back the TTC timeline any...so fingers crossed my body figures itself out quickly.

My weekend was really good, but I'm super exhausted and could use another day! Friday night we met J's parents and grandparents for dinner at a Mexican restaurant, the food was delicious.
Saturday my parents and nephews came over. My dad and J worked on our sprinkler system forever but couldn't get it fixed, it's looking like we may need to hire someone. After lunch my parents left and we kept the boys. We had a blast playing in the backyard in the pool and on the slip'n slide.
Sunday we hung out with the boys and took them to the park and out to lunch. Then in the afternoon we went up to my parents for a cookout and returned the boys to my sister.
Today wasn't too bad.
Very busy day at work but I made it and with only 45 minutes overtime. I did have a pharmacy student shadowing me half the day which takes more time and is pretty exhausting.
Since I had to stay late, I skipped the gym. I'm going to have a quick nap, then have dinner and head out to a friends to watch tv.
blender - hope you're feeling better soon
reba - lots of good luck !!!!!
