Our tech team has launched updates to The Nest today. As a result of these updates, members of the Nest Community will need to change their password in order to continue participating in the community. In addition, The Nest community member's avatars will be replaced with generic default avatars. If you wish to revert to your original avatar, you will need to re-upload it via The Nest.

Question for the bloggers
For any of you who have a blog, is there a way for people to "follow" your blog and have e-mails sent to them when you post an update? I'm going to try to update a travel blog while we're in Europe, and I know my mom and some of my family and friends would like to follow along as we go. I use Google Reader, so I always get my updates there, and know when people update. I feel like if I give people the URL and access to the blog, they might forget to check it, but if I can tell them how to set it up so that they get an e-mail when we update, that would be easier. Is there a way to do this? I'm using blogger.
P.S. I'll also put out a post before we leave for any Nesties that are interested in following (it's private), but I'm still working on setting everything up.

Have you set the blog up yet? If not, do it on wordpress.com - then it's really easy and there's a box you can put on, they enter their email and get updates. I have it on my food blog like that.

Hmm, I already set it up on blogger. But, I guess I could set up a new one on wordpress, since no one knows it exists yet.
there is a gadget that you can add so that people can follow you by email. or you can enter email addresses for that purpose.

Yeah, I'm not sure how that is set up. I would assume if there was a new blog post after you enter your email address that you should get one. Wait it out a day and see
