best and worst parts of your weekend!
Re: manic monday
Best: Date night with DH on Saturday. We had a great dinner at 10 Degrees South, a so-so comedy show at the Punchline, and a fun time dancing at Johnny's Hideaway. It was my first time at this fine establishment
Worst: It was a pretty good weekend, but I didn't enjoy losing in 3 sets in mixed doubles on Saturday.
Best - visiting a friend that we don't see often and planning our upcoming cruise together
Worst - dealing with awful cramps and putting a halt on all unnecessary spending until further notice to get our e-fund in better shape before we get hit with major home repairs
Best: dinner with a good friend who is also pregnant on Friday night. She is due in like 2 weeks so her and her H were full of great tips and stuff.
Worst: Planning to go see the Hangover 2 yesterday but me being an idiot and taking us to the wrong theatre. I proceeded to cry the whole way home, stupid hormones.
Best - AJ's dedication at church yesterday and having lots of family come into town to attend. AJ also had a good 9-month check-up, he only weighed in at 15 lbs (still 0%) but is up to 4% for height!!!
Worst - IL's (DH's parents AND grandparents) will be here for the entire week. They are so nice but 4 extra adults in my house for over a week is just too much. I'm also not super comfortable leaving AJ with them for long periods of time. At least I may have some IL vents this week to keep ya'll entertained.
best: spending saturday with my parents, and sunday with my best friends!
worst: my started making a weird noise and wobbling...took it to the shop this morning, and apparently my hub bearing is shot and 3 of my tires were separating...that's a sad $700 to spend a month after we dropped the same amount to fix DH's clutch.
My Shopping Blog
best: i was skeptical about going on our friend's boat for the day not knowing what to expect but we had a blast. the temps weren't too high and it was so fun doing the watersports-type stuff
worst: i broke my diet experiment and had to call it a big fat fail and give up. also, one of my ILs made one of his typical derogatory remarks in front of my family at our cookout. he does this a lot and it really bothers DH and me. he is such a nice man otherwise but he comes from a town where people still use racial slurs etc. telling him he can't say those things doesn't seem to get through to him.
Adventures of A Girl and Her Apron
best - finishing the last few things that needed to be done for my sis' wedding
worst - being so gosh darn tired yesterday!! it was awful.
Best - Hanging out with my friends from High School in the UP
Worst - The drive from Detroit to the UP
Best: Getting 4th in the bike race on Sunday, having a fun 3 hour trail ride on horseback with DH and friends afterwards.
Worst: Being so sore and tired last night. I need another day to recover.

My Nest Bio and Cycling Advice
best - Chilled out Friday night w/ DH at home, and it was great. He came back Saturday A.M. from his Peachtree RR prep run in a great mood. He was doing 7-7:30 min miles! And Sun night's Game of Thrones finale was great.
worst - Sat/Sun we were visiting FIL. We tell him a few things about what we've been up to. DH gets upset as FIL never acknowledges our lives, it immediately turns in to me, me, me syndrome. OK, fine. Usual scene there. Then, he wanted us to go get him a new iPad screen protector. I check on my phone and those are anywhere from $.01 - ~$6 on Amazon, so I figure we can find them around town for cheap. We wake up Sun A.M. in S.C. and DH realizes that we'll need to go back in to GA for the screen protectors.
Farking SC Blue Laws. Total B.S. So we head to Target because its open @ 10:30 AM and they are $29.99 for 2 farking sheets. NO. Not happening.
In the mean time, my mom has decided she really likes Kennestone hospital. So she's back there visiting them again - possibly out tomorrow. Don't ask. She has PITA Syndrome.
Needless to say we spent A LOT of time on the roads this weekend and I'm still feeling crunched up from being in the car. And I'm slightly cranky today.
Call me Kat =^..^=
Best - I spent fathers day with my dad for the first time! We have never lived in the same state so it just never happened. This year he came down here to visit. It was really nice.
Worst - Our 2nd floor AC unit went out. We can't get someone out until Wednesday to fix it. Last year it was out at this same time for 2 weeks. We were miserable....
~~~MARRIED BIO~~~
Let me know if you need a HVAC rec, the people who fixed my AC unit last year were the best and the only people who could actually tell me what was wrong with it.
Thanks for the help. Right now we are using our home warranty. If this doesn't work, I will let you know.
~~~MARRIED BIO~~~
Let me know what happens. I tried to use a Home Warranty once and it was AWFUL. Maybe you will have better luck. If it's broken they will try to blame everything on you FYI. Make sure you let them know you regularly change out the filter or else they won't fix a thing.
