Moms of 9/10/11ish month olds
1) BFing moms ~ How many times are your little ones nursing a day now? Still waking at night?
2) What is their eating schedule like in general....meals per day/times etc.
3) I would love any lunch and dinner ideas for Liam too! I am in a rut food wise with him and need some inspiration.
Thanks

Re: Moms of 9/10/11ish month olds
1) n/a - they each have about 4 bottles a day sometimes 5.
2&3)
Breakfast usually anywhere betweeen 7-8 a.m. Breakfast can consist of any, oatmeal mixed with fruit, toast, french toast (no syrup), yogurt and cheerios.
Lunch: 11:30-12:00 (I'm still working on variety) mac & cheese, some typ of pasta, left overs from the night before.
Dinner: 4:30-5:30 (depends on their afternoon schedule) broccolli, carrots, peas, sm. pieces of ham, turkey or chicken, mashed potatoes.
We pretty much give them whatever we eat, we just make sure it is tiny pieces small enough for them to eat.
3)
Good questions!! I'm hoping to shift toward weaning (except for morning/night) hopefully soon, really tired of pumping at work.
1) 4 times - at wake-up, after AM nap (11:00ish) late afternoon (3-4ish) and before bed.
2) She has a snack of some cheerios or other cereal before leaving for daycare, then she has a full lunch and full dinner and one afternoon snack of crackers of some kind (at home). Yesterday she ate so much, I was floored! She had a bowl of oatmeal with applesauce and a whole muffin for breakfast around 7:30am. Lunch was noodles, green beans, bread, some of our steaks (father's day lunch). Dinner was lots of veggies, cubed squash and corn and cheese.
3) She pretty much has whatever we are having now. Chicken on the grill, loves rice with herbs, mashed potato, quesadillas with black beans are a favorite, and different kinds of pasta (pesto, red sauce, lemon pasta).
I'm interested to hear other ideas too!
I'm behind you but I wanted to tell you two things that Abe is loving eating right now.
Whole grain toast with a fruit puree smeared on it.
Blended watermelon and banana...it is like a little baby smoothie!
Here is what we are doing
1) Liam nurses probably 5 times a day 4 usually during the daytime hours and once at night. He does wake at least once, lately it has been more but I think he is teething because he has generally be pretty grumpy.
2) He does 3 meals and a snack or two. But he is kind of a grazer, he never eats a ton at any meal, they all kinda seem like snacks.
3) We do give Liam some of what we eat and he is really starting to refuse purees all together. He loves veggies and some fruits. He has not really taken to meats yet, I have tried shredded chicken but he didn't love it. He really likes yogurt with fresh fruit mixed in and toast, he also likes noodles and tried mac and cheese but didn't really know what to think.
Thanks for the ideas so far!!
1) BFing moms ~ How many times are your little ones nursing a day now? Still waking at night? At 9 months she was nursing 4 times a day, by 11 months she was down to 3 which is where we're still at. She nursed once at night until 2 days before her 1st birthday when she magically started STTN
2) What is their eating schedule like in general....meals per day/times etc. We had just started 3 meals a day at 9 months - breakfast is about an hour after waking, lunch time varies based on nap, but is generally late afternoon (2ish) and dinner around 6. Since she eats a huge breakfast she doesn't usually have a snack, but she does have one in the afternoon.
As far as meals she eats what we eat. We've been having a lot of egg sandwiches or grilled cheese for lunch lately. She likes black beans and cheese in a tortilla with some garlic or hummus. Bean salad or pasta salad is good to have in the fridge. I get some organic veggie/potato pancakes once in awhile for something quick. Her favorite dinners include black bean burgers, chicken parmesan meatloaf, any baked casserole or quiche. She loves all veggies, but favorites are beets, green beans, broccoli, and sweet potato roasted in olive oil.
