3 years....

Tomorrow is our 3 year anniversary and I am clueless!!!

I know that DH is going to take us out to dinner but I would like to do something for him.  I suck at gift giving when it comes to him.  He is so hard to shop for and if you ask him what he wants the answer is either "something practical" or "I don't need anything".  WTF????

Help me out with some ideas please!!!

Also, if you have a rec on a restaurant that would be GREAT!  Please note...  I am not leaving B with a sitter so she will be with us so it needs to be somewhat child friendly.

Re: 3 years....

  • The 3rd anniversary is leather or crystal/glass. I got DH a leather wine dossier but it's tucked away collecting dust, lol (we are going on 7 years now). I ordered it from Red Envelope. He got me flowers in a pretty glass vase which I still use. What about a picture of all of you in a frame or album that is leather or crystal/glass? Or tickets to a Redhawks game (baseball is leather) if he likes baseball.

I'm not sure about restaurants. Are you in OKC? We typically go to Hideaway or PF Changs since we don't have those in Lawton. I also like Victoria's in Norman.

    Happy Anniversary!

  • Man, I can't believe it's three years!

I'm clueless on gifts--I have a hard time with them sometimes too. Since we like to travel, I'd probably book us an evening alone at a local B&B or something for sometime in the next few weeks.

For restaurants, there's Primo's.. it's not too far from you, and since it's really dim lighting in there it's nice. Not too loud either, which could be good with B.

  • Thanks for the ideas, I think we may try Hensley's, it's some new place here.

I suck....  He is getting a card at this point.  ;)

I can't leave B alone yet although I would love an evening just the two of us.  Dh had booked us a hotel up in Tulsa but because he didn't check the dates with me we had to cancel it (we were taking B with us).  Maybe I can go tomorrow and find him a new wallet or belt, both of those are practical.  ;)

  • Happy 3 years!!! I'm no good at the gift giving thing either, this year was our 5th and it was wood so I bought a really nice wood frame and put a couple of pictures of the dogs in it and he loved it!

Let me know what you think about Hensley's, we've been wanting to try it.
