How was your weekend? Very humid, eh?
What are you looking forward to this week?

Re: How was your weekend?
Our weekend was busy, but good. As some of you have seen on Facebook, we ended up buying a new-to-me vehicle Saturday morning, which was definitely the highlight! We've been doing lots of fiddling with it finding all the cool features that I didn't have on my old beater. I've got to take it back in tomorrow for a few touch-ups and re-detailing since they didn't get it done before we left Saturday.
This week I'm looking forward to watching Sophia start week two of soccer and my OB appointment on Friday, which is the beginning of weekly appointments already! We don't have a single play date on the calendar this week, which is just amazing!
Ours was good. We went to Chicago (Naperville actually) for my stepson's baseball tourney. It's always fun seeing him in his regular life... friends, interests, etc - things we don't see when he visits us here. Cohen and AJ did better than I had hoped in the car, so I anticipate more out-of-town trips in our future.
Can you believe July 4 weekend is 2 weeks away??
Lucy-I can't believe you are about to have a baby! Are you having a repeat section?
Sam-we need to see nursery pics when you are done! And when the heck did you get so pregnant already? lol!
It wasn't long enough, as always! lol! I had to work today, which was ok. Its been hot as hades here! Over 100 for the last few days.
Grier has her four month appointment on Wednesday. I worked today, so I can have the day off with her. I'm not looking forward to her getting shots, but it will be nice to have some one on one time with my cuddle bug! And I'll get to sleep in! woot!
We had a good weekend. I got some cleaning done and trimmed most of my shrubs/bushes. I just need to do the spireas when they quick blooming. Saturday DH and I went to a bday party and then on to dinner Saturday night. Yesterday was church and then the Natural Playscape and a picnic. When the snake crawled out of the rocks in the little pool, everyone cleared out! Everyone... One guy said "we have been here before, but we might not come back".
MrsReem - I read your blog yesterday. Wow. Our bodies always hold so many mysteries. Given that it is early, was there any comment that they would keep you posted if your services would be needed? Hopefully all is well with the pregnancy.
OMG I'm totally freaked about the snake at Jester. EEEEK! The snake was in the water? That gives me the heebiejeebies.
I'm so excited about the new babies about to join us!! You ladies rock being that pregnant during the summer.
Yes my weekend got interesting starting with a call at 10pm Friday night that the mother was pregnant. sweet. Happy for them though. KMP - yes they want to keep me on call in case something happens. You know, since I have nothing better to do and all. I actually have been asked by two other people if I'd consider carrying for them at some point. Neither live in Iowa though and I'm kind of done traveling away from my family. I haven't decided how all of this will play out. Instead I prefer to drink wine and smile.
We had a fun cookout Saturday night at Red Rock. Sunday was a chill day. The girls took a 3 hour nap and so did I. Ahhh that felt amazing.
I'm looking forward to participating in a focus group study tonight for some spending cash and Katen's first soccer game Wednesday night. Go Team #6!!!

Our weekend went way too fast! It was good and busy though. We attempted to take G on a bike ride (got DH a bike and bike trailer for his birthday). Needless to say, she screamed for the whole 5 minutes we went riding ;-)
Mrs.Reem-I don't mean to be nosy and feel free to ignore my question but did I read your blog right that you weren't compensated at.all for all your traveling, having to go through appts and meds, etc? If so, that has to be really, really hard. I'm happy for them but I can see how hard that has to be on you.
Ours was good and bad. Went to Farmer's Market Saturday morning with C and my dad, had a good time there. Then back to my house to wait for the air conditioning repairman from 11-3. He finished up about 2:30, then C and I hit a farewell BBQ for some soccer buddies that are moving to Seattle. When we get home at 6:30, the repair guy is back, during his previous service visit he apparently broke something else and now repair instead of replacement was no longer a realistic option. So a salesman came out and was there from 7:30-9 and we got to spend a good chunk of money on a new furnace and air conditioner. Sunday DH worked again, went to my Dad's with C to celebrate Father's Day. DH got off early so brought him his favorite fast food dinner/lunch home then we just hung out until it was time for bed.
On deck this week we have an OB appointment this afternoon. They are doing an U/S to check size since I am measuring 4 weeks ahead. Then C has a dentist appointment tomorrow afternoon. DH has golf league on Wednesday night, then nothing much planned. Maybe this next weekend we'll start going through the old baby stuff and getting that put away in the nursery.
Yes, that's correct.
Wow, I'm sorry :-(
