Anyone here sleepwalk?

Just curious.

For the past three months or so I have caught myself sleep walking from time to time.  For a while I didn't even realize I was doing it, just in the middle of the night I would find myself in random places inside my house (and one time even outside!) and I couldn't remember why I was there.

Two nights ago I woke up and I was unloading the dishwasher.  Whoa!  That would be awesome if I would start cleaning in my sleep :P

So if you sleepwalk, what's the most random thing you have done?

  • Crazy! I wonder if there's a reason why you've been doing this recently? Maybe your mind feels like something's not getting resolved so it's trying to get you to resolve it at night? No idea, but that thought just came to me.

I don't do it frequently, but there are definitely times when I fall asleep before H (almost every night, we rarely go to bed at the same time) and I'll wake up a few hours later when he's still up and I'll leave the bed to go find him. I think I feel unsettled without him there. Sometimes I won't remember doing it and sometimes I will, but only somewhat. I'm always at least half-asleep. He thinks it's funny and he tells me about it the next day. I always have a dazed look on my face and I'll say a few nonsense phrases that make no sense to him. He always takes my hand and leads me back to bed. And often times I laugh this weird laugh that I only do when I'm half-asleep. All this sounds kind of creepy :p

Ha, that's funny Lauren!  I have caught my H sleepwalking once or twice in the past and it's really weird to see.  He is a total daze.  Once I caught him in the closet beating on the walls.  He just kept mentioning he was killing the spiders.  Ha.  What a weirdo.

  • When DH & I first started dating (I was still living with my parents), he slept over (on the couch) in the basement. DH was sleep walking. He went upstairs to use my parents bathroom, then hopped into bed with my Dad. LOL. Luckily, my Mom was sleeping on another couch because of my dad's snoring.

Omg! That's hilarious. What happened after he got in bed with your Dad, did he kick him out? ahhhh!

I woke up to a lot of yelling & swearing. My Dad stormed into my room & made me get him out of there. They have a special bond now.
