Nope, the kitchen's not done.
Yep, pregnant.... 6 weeks today which I think that technically means starting my 7th week.... Only a bit more time until I finish the first trimester...
So, the story... in lots of detail....
1st round 100 mg Clomid - Fail at 28 days.
2nd round 100 mg Clomid - Fail at a very disappointing 31 days.
3rd round 100 mg Clomid - Cycle started, got the plague (aka a fever and on the couch for a day), then right after that "prime time", 1 1/2 weeks pass, I get a tetanus shot because I stepped on a nail, 1/2 a week passes and day 29.... I test. FIRST EVER POSITIVE. I showed the test to DH right away and he was a bit weepy and excited. (He had hope as my temperature had skyrocketed that day and I had warm toes, still do apparently....) Then I went in for bloodwork and the doctor called me to tell me it was positive... YAHOOO.. Now I can actually try and believe it.
So, on Saturday we went north to tell the inlaws. We had been talking about Rotary, etc. And DH said "They'll be another Rotarian in the family soon." Once they figured it out there was no reaction but his Mom bought me flowers later that day and his Dad told DH that that was goood news.
On Sunday, we went to my parents... We showed up in time for a late dinner. Ate dinner with them and had finished a Father's Day cake for dessert. We were talking about Father's Day and I said, "Well, it should actually be "Happy Grandfather's Day." There was silence (VERY RARE) for about 30 seconds and then my Mom said "Congratulations."
It is the first grandchild on both sides.
Also, because of the 8% chance of multiples (as my OBGYN put it) I go in for an ultrasound on June 30. If no multiples and everything looks good, I will go back to my regular family doctor, if not I will continue to see the OBGYN, I think.
It is actually rare to have an ultrasound this early in Canada. Unless there are special circumstances, they only do the 20 week ultrasound...
Melting Snow... because it means that spring is actually on the way and it's not snowing or cold.
Re: Finally. (Ashley read on a good day....)
