I'm here, working from home. So, I'm doing some work and in between trying to straighten up my house, and stressing about all the stuff we have to do before we leave for our trip. The list just keeps growing! And, my SIL is going to stay in our house while we're gone b/c she's separating from her husband and is currently living with my FIL. So, it's mutually beneficial, since our house won't sit empty for 3.5 weeks, and she can have some personal space. However, now I feel like I need to clean my house from top to bottom before we leave.

I completely feel your pain on this. I leave today - DH tomorrow and we're back Sat. It's not a long trip but our cat is so old that we decided we need to have someone stay with him. So last night I was running around like a maniac to get my house clean..... It sucked.....
I am here at work. Trying to get some stuff done. I work so much better under pressure (ie busy season). When it isn't super busy I just keeps saying I still have time I am not that busy. By no means am I looking forward to busy season though.... big BLAH to that
I'm here at work. My Principal popped in for about 2 minutes and then they called her to go into a meeting at our central office. Sooo now I'm back to being bored and alone. I'm feeling pretty okay. Ready to go home though.
I'm jealous of your travels even if it seems stressful. I can't wait until we go to California. We are officially a month out and I hope it comes soon. I felt bad because last night driving home E was telling me how he is just exhausted from work. In Texas we average 12.5 days in triple digits, so far this year we are above that and today is just the start of Summer. He works in and out of the heat all day and by the time he gets home he just wants to lay on the couch for the remainder of the evening. I'm really hoping this vacation brings him some sort of relaxation.
I could have written this myself! We don't have a traditional busy season like you're referring to, though there are times of the year that are typically busier than others. I am just so much more productive when there's tons to do.
The stress will definitely be worth it, it's just a matter of getting there! I still can't believe we were able to pull this off, and are actually going on this huge trip!
Poor E! I cannot imagine working outside in that heat, no wonder he's exhausted! Hopefully the weather in CA will be more mild, and give you guys a little break!
Poor Dexter!! I hope the surgery goes well and major props to you for being such a good Mom! I can only imagine how your little self must look carrying a big ol dog like him. (Hope that made you smile!)
ha, especially because he doesn't like David to carry him, only me! Most of it is a funny half hold, letting him walk on his back feet only. HA. Once we got inside the vet, he did let me carry him upright (his front feet on my shoulders, kinda hugging me, and me holding his lower half) and all the vet assistants thought it was adorable. While I shuffled around with his 55 lbs lol
David felt so helpless, but Dexter just tries to jump out of his arms, so that was a no- go

Hi girls! Just wanted to say Hi... I was done teaching on Thursday and now am kind of twiddling my thumbs. I want to do my checkout procedure but since our last day isn't until THIS Thursday, most of the office/admin staff aren't ready for checkout... so I am already starting to think about my syllabus and everything for next year, lol....
Poor Dexter... such a sweetie pie... it's so hard to see our furbabies in pain.
