Help an OG nestie out - daycare in East Waterboro area

Hey, long time no "see"

My cousin is trying to find daycare for his infant son, his first two plans fell through at the last minute.

They're hoping to find something in the Waterboro/Alfred/Lyman areas because they both work from home, and travelling really far to drop the baby off just to turn around and go home seems a little ridiculous.

I think they're looking mostly at licensed in home daycares now because of the centers they checked they either have no openings are are really expensive.

Any recomendations you know of would be really appreciated!  Thanks.

    Hey!

Yeah, I figured that it's a long shot to find anyone for them.

I have no idea what they're going to do.  It's such a limited area that they're looking at, which I understand, but it makes it really hard to find a place to fit all of their requirements.

  • Hey! I live in that area. I think I may actually have gone to high school with your cousin- I noticed we were mutual friends on FB and I know he just had a baby. Are the initials JR?

Anyway, my son went to a licensed in home daycare in Sanford this year and next year he will go to a larger (20 kids max) daycare/preschool called Kids Inc., in Alfred.

I used this website to look for options: http://gateway.maine.gov/childcare/ You can search by town and get basic info, then we just started calling and visiting.

    Yeah, that's him!

Thank you so much for the link, I'll send it along to him.
