From the pics I've seen, the girl kinda looks like a toned-down Ke$ha [without all the crazy make-up]. The 35-year age difference is just too much...the fact that she's 16 is even worse. I can't even imagine...

What's the age of consent to sex in CA?

In Jersey it's 16 with a maximum 4 year age difference between the partners.

There is no way this is completely legal.

Actually, in NJ it's 16 with *any* age.difference, if I remember correctly. 14 or 15 with a max 3-year age difference. But 18 to get married without parental consent. So even if 16 is legal for sex in CA, it's highly likely she had.to get parental consent for the wedding.

Just looked up NJ. 13 to 15 is legal as long as the other person is 16 to 18, respectively. 16 is legal with anyone as long as the anyone isn't in a position of power over the teen (like a teacher). 18, anything goes.
