Re: PG/Mom Check-In
All of a sudden it has hit me that in 2 months or so I am going to have my bundle of joy here in my arms. I couldn't be more excited and nervous at the same time. I've always taken care of other people's children, so now that I have one of my own am I really going to be a good mom?
I went to a breastfeeding seminar last week as well as an Intensive labor class, and learned a lot. I still feel like there is so much I need to know and do before he makes his arrival. Although, I've come to accept the fact that I will never truly be ready, it is going to be an adjustment for us all.

I'm doing alright, but really ready to stop feeling crappy all the time. I feel like it would be better to feel sick, throw up a couple times, and move on with my day. Instead, my morning sickness hits morning, noon, and night most days, but never makes me actually get sick. Yuck.
It's worth it to know that I get to have this baby though! I got DH baby Nikes like he's always wanted for his kid for Father's Day and he was so excited, so that was fun. And we get to go to the doctor for another scan on Monday so I can't wait to see our little one again and make sure everything is coming along well!
Morning sickness is officially back : ( Things are going to be a lot tougher this time having to take care of a toddler as well!
Right now my edd is Feb 14th 2012 : )
I'll be thinking about you and hoping for the best!
Keeping you in my prayers!
Oh no, I'm sorry to hear this
Definitely sending you t & ps.
Kennedy is doing really well. She's so much fun and such a happy baby. I've noticed the past few days that she's more sleepy. She's not as interested in playing all the time and just wants to snuggle. BUT - when she wants to play, you better be ready. She's also eating about 26oz a day. That's A LOT for a baby with a heart condition like hers, so I think that's taking a lot of her energy. I've requested a new Early Interventionist. I really liked the one we have, but for some reason Kennedy really dislikes her. She screams bloody murder from the time the lady gets here until she leaves. I feel like we aren't getting anywhere, because she can't interact with Kennedy. Hopefully the next one will be better.
Not sure if I mentioned it last week - surgery has been scheduled for the morning of July 5. Since they can't do the pre-op on an outpatient basis, we'll be admitted to All Children's on July 4. Not how I wanted to spend her first 4th of July, but you can bet I'll be taking her in all decked out in red, white and blue, and every July 4th from here out will be a celebration of how much she's overcome. (Okay okay, enough of my "I can handle this attitude." I'm a complete mess and absolutely terrified. I just want someone to hit fast forward and move on to the end of July.)
Definitely thinking about you today.
You are in my thoughts. Keep us posted.
feeling lots of baby kicks and jabs lately- on fathers day my hubby got to feel one too and that was the best
its killing me not to know the gender but i know it will be really fun in the end!
loskadoodle- im really sorry to hear your news, prayers for a big turn around at your next appt
Today is my sequential screening. I really don't want to have an amnio even though I'll be 35 when I deliver, so I'm hoping this will give us enough answers to forgo the amnio at 20 weeks. I have a 12:30 sonogram and a 1:30 appt. I'm a little nervous but also excited to see how much this little fetus has grown in 3 weeks.
My silly Lily is almost 4.
I've been thinking about you! I'm so sorry you are going through this
Aww thanks. That's sweet of you. I'll keep you posted. I may need someone to sneak in a big fat glass (or bottle) of wine.
Sending lots of T&Ps your way!
You are definitely in my T&P's. I hope everything goes well and just know we are all here for you.
Thursday I will have 4 weeks left. Ahhhh I am truly nervous about this entire thing and its weird because I think I am more nervous for after the birth than I am for the birth.
I am still feeling good, except for my heartburn! Sometimes I feel as though my throat is on fire. Luckily Tums seem to help but I wish I didnt have to take them as much as I do.
We ordered the two dressers for the nursery so those should be coming in soon and then the room will be almost finished, besides the entertainment center and TV that is in the room that we need to get rid of. The TV is one of those old big ones so I am thinking of just taking it to Best Buy to get rid of it. You would think someone would want it, we have it listed on Craigs List for $50. haha
I am so sorry. (((hugs)))
I am so sorry to hear this.
*hugs*
Zoe is doing great! She gets her harness off for 16 hours a day now!
The doctor did an Xray and he said that looked good, and he did another u/s as well. He could see that the bone had formed properly and is in her left hip fine, but he couldn't see the right hip bone yet (which is totally normal for her age). He said that if he can see the right hip bone and it looks okay next time she will be harness free!Yipeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! She has really started moving a lot more since she has if off a lot now. She stays on her tummy for a little longer and sticks her butt up in the air and kicks her legs. So cute! She also rolled over halfway yesterday, so it's only a matter of time before she figures out the rest.
She is 16lbs and 26inches long now. We went to the pedi yesterday and he said that everything looks good. She got her 4 month vaccines and did great! barely cried! I feel so guilty knowing that she is going to be in pain and there's nothing I can do to prevent it because she doesn't understand it yet.
We went to CA for my yougest brother's graduation and Zoe did amazing on all her flights! She was smiling during turbulence and during the landings she was awake for, lol! We were so relieved! It was quite funny our first time through security with her. H and I travel all the time but we were like travel idiots that day. It was pretty funny! We felt so off our game. Needless to say, the flight back was much smoother. We are going to CT in August to see his family and I know this next trip will be smoother because it's much shorter and we have already been through it. She will be a little older and even more squirmy so that will be a little trickier.
Oh no. I'm just so, so sorry.
My silly Lily is almost 4.
