This smoke is making me craaaaazy. I really can't take it anymore. Our warehouse looks like it's on fire and the smell gives me such a bad headache and stomach ache.

It's making me crazy too. We don't go outside much, but I'd at least like the option! And our pedi told us to be careful with Jonathan out in it because of his RSV, so now DH is talking about wanting to send us to visit family for a while. It sounds great, but I will lose my mind!

One of my good friends (LB - it's Kawika) works for Division of Forestry & he's been out doing the fire fighting. I heard this morning that 2 of the firefighters died & now I'm all paranoid that it's him. I texted him, but I haven't heard back. I'm super close to texting his fiancee.

I'm just being a nut bag, right?

ETA: This crazy person just texted his fiancee. Here's to hoping I hear from one of them soon.

Work has been extremely stressful lately. I love my job and coworkers like my own family. But circumstances and an apparent lack of motivation among my coworkers is making me think we may not have a business for much longer. I've been trying my best to be the encourager of the group, but it's easy to get discouraged when your actions/attempts at motivation are not reciprocated.

Ditto. Thinking of your friend and all the firefighters. I have a friend here who is a firefighter, I know it's a tough job and tough on the family always worrying.

I woke up with hives on my arms and legs and now I've convinced myself that my throat is closing up... I'm sure I'm fine and it's just from heat. I should go see the nurse but I don't want her to send me home or to the doctor.

I am mad at myself today. At the beginning of the year I signed up for a United credit card for the 50,000 miles bonus. We were planning on cashing in all our miles for our next trip. Fast forward 6 months and I still don't have the miles. I finally called and they said you had to spend $250 before you get the miles. I've only charge $150 to it cause it's not our main card. I just feel so dumb because it was such an easy requirement we could've done months ago. Now I'm worried that by the time the miles do finally appear, the tickets we want won't be available any more.

I wish for unspeakably bad things to happen to DH's ex-boss. Every day that goes by that he is not getting paid or finding potential jobs makes me more and more pissed.

No justice in the world.

Also the smoke is seeping into my brain and making me crazy.

Glad to hear he's ok! I can't imagine what it must be like dealing with these fires. Ditto the PP's, you were just being a good friend. I would have been uneasy until I heard back from him as well. So sorry to hear about the firefighters that were lost though.

I wanted to get a dog 50x more than my H, and it took 2 years of convincing for him to finally say yes. Now than he's out of town for a few weeks and I have a 5 month old puppy to deal with by myself- I have no idea what I was thinking. A job, house cleaning and the puppy have me completely overwhelmed and it's only been a few days. I want to kick my own @ss.

Your puppy is so cute! Most of us can relate, puppies require a lot of attention and patience. I'm sure the week will go by fast.

Your puppy is so cute! Most of us can relate, puppies require a lot of attention and patience. I'm sure the week will go by fast.

Ditto! A lot of us have dealt with puppy frustration the last few years. (Just ask ClaireDunphy right about now!) I remember being exhausted by constantly supervising one of ours for months. But however high maintenance he/she is, it just gets better from here.Any specific issues we can try and help with? Puppies are so frustrating sometimes, but so worth it. GL!

No specific issues. He just decided to figure out the day my H left how to jump up onto the couch/chair so it's been a few days of nonstop chasing him off the couch, repeatedly. And the little guy has started losing puppy teeth so we're in full on teething mode, he's quite bitey. It's just lots and lots of redirection.

I don't care if he's on the couch, however, I know my H is not on board with that viewpoint. He doesn't want the couch to be damaged, covered in fur, etc. So I'm trying to respect my H's wishes while he's away, but I will not be surprised if I give in by the end of the few weeks.The squirt bottle works sometimes, however, Bart (the dog) likes to try to drink the water when you squirt him. So it works maybe 25-30% of the time. I have also been either telling him to get down or making the "eh-eh" noise.

On top of my car being stolen and all the shiz that comes with that, yesterday I found out that XH never cleaned out the fridge like he said he did in the house in Navarre. I turned the power off in March. Yesterday my realtor called to let me know that the buyers were going by the house today and that the fridge was awful. I went over there to clean it out and it was unsalvageable. I can't even begin to explain how terrible it was. I had to pay to have it professionally removed. I woke up early to go over there and clean the kitchen before the buyers came so they wouldn't have to see anything and that's when I found out my car is gone. FML. I can't help but think that none of this would be happening is I hadn't been so stupid in marrying that azzhole. I'm such an idiot, or at least feel like one on days like today.
