Re: Tasty tuesday
Mmm....that sounds so tasty!!! I love some nice creamy butternut squash soup - I'm sure I'd love this!
I really need to get on the ball with new recipes. I've been stuck the same rut for so long. Hopefully, once we get settled in the new place (and get adjusted to the minimal amount of counter space we have) I can start actually making recipes from my cookbooks.
I made apricot glazed ham last night.
The glaze was apricot preserve with orange juice, soy sauce, spicy mustard and ginger.
I was surprised. I usually never cook with mustard because I can always taste it and think it's overpowering. I don't like mustard. But It was good with this.
I want to make this!!
Snickurtle Pie
wow- that looks good! I think that will be DHs birthday cake this year!
Make this? I want to EAT this!

RIP Dr. Irving Fishman - 10/1/19-7/25/10 - thank you for holding on for me.
You made my wedding day complete.
I haven't been around here in ages, but I'll share a few recipes I've made recently:
http://foodforpandas.blogspot.com/2011/01/broccoli-cheese-pot-pie.html I made this, in french onion soup bowls, and added shredded chicken. I could have died eating it. SO delicious.
I also made these for a party: http://www.jasonandshawnda.com/foodiebride/archives/709
But because I'm extremely lazy, I used M&M's pre-made Italian meatballs. I left them to warm in the crockpot, and they were a huge hit. We ate the leftovers with balsamic glazed pasta, also super yummy.
http://gimmesomeoven.com/watermelon-fire-and-ice-salsa/ This was also beyond delicious, and perfect for summer. I'll definitely be making it again!
http://gimmesomeoven.com/pepperoni-pizza-puffs/ These are definitely delicious. I prefer them with cheddar cheese (or half cheddar, half mozza) because I found the mozza overwhelming. Also because I'm lazy I just mix the tomato sauce right in, instead of using it as a dip. Same goes for the basil/oregano. I've made them in both full size and mini muffin tins, and they've both been awesome.
Tonight, we had steak & garlic bread (both on the BBQ), with a tin foil package of veggies- I parboiled chunks of baby red potatoes & halved baby carrots. Added that to small chunks of onions, some chunks of peppers, and a little bit of seasoning, and threw that all on the BBQ too . Super yummy!
