Computer repair help?
Anyone know someone who could look at a laptop for me. C threw up on DH's computer. Yes all over it.
We tried to clean it and it appears to be pretty clean but there is a key stuck somewhere so he can't log in.
All we need to do is retrieve the info on the hard drive. Then we'll get a new one.
Sigh.

Id think you could take it to Geek Squad and they could get the hard drive out and pop it in another computer to transfer it to some other type of storage device (external hard drive)
or, is it a laptop? could you try plugging an external keyboard into the usb port and see if it will plug and play so you can log in?
no sure what area you are in but when my laptop died (motherboard issues) i took it to a Computer place on 1960 near willowbrook mall, same shopping center as BBB. They pulled out my hard drive, stuck it in an enclosure and now I can use it as an external drive on any computer I want.
Fast and easy and not expensive.
