I had my first weekly appt today, and my doctor asked how baby is moving, etc. Now my mom told me that in the last month they really slow down b/c they're so squished in there that there's not much room to move. So I nonchalantly said "oh yea, she's slowed down a little but still gets the hiccups all the time". I expected my Dr to say that was normal, but instead she sent me to L&D for monitoring an an NST.
First we did an ultrasound and everything was normal. Baby is looking good, still a girl, and everything looks normal. So I go up to L&D, they hook me up and what do you know - baby passes the NST test in the first 5 minutes. They wanted to keep me for a full 20, so I had some juice and graham crackers and watched TV for awhile. It was like a nice little dry run for the real thing.
Next time I'm just going to say that everything is good, it's all good!
Re: Fun trip to L&D
It is better to be safe. I used to drink a glass on OJ whenever R got a little quiet.
Glad you are both ok!

I was actually kind of embarrassed. Like all this fuss for nothing, you know? But it was nice being able to hear her heartbeat for 20 solid minutes. Don't get that every day!
