Michelle Obama dress hatred
This is light-hearted, but unfortunately I agree. The most shocking thing is that the dress is a Narciso Rodriguez. 
I usually love his stuff, but this one just did not work.

Haha, I had a similar response to that columnist... 'You're wearing THAT?'
And then I tried to sit there, like watching the emperor in his new clothes trying to get it. And I couldn't.
Even DH remarked at how ugly her dress was. He did like Jill Biden's green dress, though.

I watched the end of Obama's speech yesterday evening on one of the cable shows, and I was in tears again. Then the family walked out onto the stage, and I was snapped out of it by that hideous dress. I looked at the H and said, "Wow, Michelle, thanks for ruining my emotional moment." It was the worst thing I've seen her wear - why on THAT night?!
Not only was it ugly, it was really unflattering. I have no idea what she was thinking. I like her a lot, and it's nice to see a First Lady taking some edgy fashion steps, but this was a big FAIL.

I only noticed it because it had the unfortunate effect of making her shape look weird. ?It was like an optical illusion gone wrong.
And I wasn't the only one in the bar commenting on it.?
I couldn't care less about fashion, but you just don't wear color combinations that do weird things to your shape.?
She wanted to make sure the people in the back row saw her.
