Forgot to set my alarm last night

Waking up in a panic is no fun.  DH's alarm went off and he usually gets up well after me so I knew right away what happened.  Missed my bus but luckily DH could drop me off at a different station and I ended up getting in a little earlier than usual.

Let's hope the rest of the day goes more smoothly.  What's up with you guys this morning?

I'd rather be rock climbing or playing volleyball

Re: Forgot to set my alarm last night

  • Oh, I hated when that would happen to me. I used to turn my alarm off in my sleep. I was obsessive about checking that it was on, and when I would wake up (late due to the alarm not going off), I would always have a vague memory of turning it off during the night.

I hope the rest of your day is better!

DS and I both have colds, but he is (dare I say it?) STTN now, so suddenly all things in my life are more manageable. I am about to watch last night's episode of 16&Pregnant.

  • Poor you Rock.

Lady E that is awesome about the sleep!

I had insomnia again last night.  I ended up just getting up, and watching my many DVR'd episodes of 16&pregnant.  I was up from like 2-5...then I got up with DH this morning at 7:15.  Now I am sorting through laundry while DoggieCrushing waits not so patiently for his morning walk.

LadyE, too funny about turning off your alarm in the middle of the night!  Like, before it ever went off?  Your subconscious really didn't want to get up in the morning, haha!

cdc, that's awful about the insomnia. I'm such a night owl though that if it weren't for work I'd probably stay up until at least 2 or 3am every day.

  • Rock, yeah, it would be before it went off. Isn't that crazy? I used to always set a cell phone alarm, too.

CDC- I was up ALL the time when I was pg. It kind of worked out though, because I was used to being up all night when DS was born!

  • Yikes! I am glad you made it to work on time! Are they flexible if you were late though? People who work under my boss all work anywhere from 730 a.m. to as late as 945 a.m.!

I also forgot to set my alarm. DS is doing the 3 a.m. wake up again these past few days so we all overslept this morning!

Yeah, it's pretty flexible but I hate to be late and my peers are all usually in before 9am.  The real issue is that my bus doesn't run very often, typically about once every hour.  Luckily DH could drop me off along another route, but if he wasn't around today it would have sucked.
