spark question

is there a "recipe builder" type feature on there?  i'd like to add some recipes that i made recently - and i'm not sure how to do that...

Re: spark question

  • Yes, if you go to Spark Recipes and log-in (same username & password as Spark People) there is a "Recipe Calculator". Works pretty much the same way as when you just log your food.

  • thanks!!  i'll check it out!
  • Okay, I'm not going to lie, I find spark people really hard!  I have never counted calories or anything before , so I've never had to be accountable for everything.  I got through 2 meals and then got behind.  I do like the idea that you have to be accountable for food and exercise, so I may give it a second chance.  In the meantime, kuddos to you girls that do this!  I think it's really healthy!

  • I'm finding it hard too, because I'm so used to counting "Points" not calories.  I'm doing my best though.  I wish I just didn't have to worry about what I ate SO MUCH.  UGH Is this how I have to spend the rest of my life?

(sorry I'm feeling so cranky today haha)

  • One thing that makes it a little easier, is to really use that "User-Shared" search when entering in your food. A lot of stuff is already on there. And, when you use a Spark Recipe from anyone, it goes straight to your counter. It takes some getting used to. It helps is you have an android or iphone or ipad b/c they have apps for it for free.
