shirt to wear with suit
I always wear a suit on interviews. It's a very light pin strip blazer and pant set which I wear heels with. It's a black/grey color. My mother and I agreed that wearing black looks fine but in a way it doesn't.
My question is, can I wear a short sleeved very nice shirt (non button down and very slight but no cleavage showing swoop neck) or should I stick with a button down. I don't anticipate taking off my jacket. I do have a grey one that I typically wear and tuck in, even though it's a bit on the short side for that.

A black suit is fine, and a non-button down blouse is also fine. I rarely wear a button down blouse with a suit.

Me too. Unless I am planning on taking the jacket off. If I plan on leaving the jacket on, I wear a colorful cami with a fun necklace.
