MD ladies, I need a spa rec

Since having the kid, I've been terrible about washing my face as much as I should and my skin is a hot mess. I desperately need a facial but my old spot (Natural Body) closed. I need someplace that can cater to sensitive skin. So, tell me where you go if you love it - MoCo preferred (Kensington, SS, Rockville the best) but I would be willing to travel to other parts of MoCo or in to Friendship Heights.

  • I have two recommendations - The Still Point in Takoma Park and Blue Heron in Silver Spring (it's in the same shopping plaza as the Trader Joe's on Colesville Rd.).

  • Aside: after years of regular facials, I finally invested in the Clarisonic brush, and my skin has been amazing since I started using it.  Don't worry, they have an extra-soft brush for sensitive skin :)

It's around the same price as a facial (depending what you get and where you get facials), but you will have it for-EVAH.

    Seventh Anniversary

I enjoyed the Blue Water Day Spa in Kensington (Homegoods plaza) when I went.  It's just a little spa in a strip mall, but I thought that it was really relaxing and well done inside.

I had an awesome pedi at Kibana in DTSS, but I'm not sure how their facials an such are.

I've never had a facial, but I second the Clarisonic, I shopped around a couple years ago for the best price and I love it!!  I use the tea tree oil face stuff from the body shop with it.  I just leave it in the shower so I can wash my face while in there.
