Restaurants near the Mann
My parents are coming into town tomorrow night to see the Mormon Tabernacle Choir- they actually won a radio contest for their singing, and get to perform with them at sound check and then attend the concert.
We should have about 2 hours for dinner, so someplace pretty close.
Any suggestions?
Re: Restaurants near the Mann
That is so cool. My parents are also going to this.
There isn't anything that's super close.
There is a restaurant there: http://manncenter.org/plan-your-visit/dining I've never been so I have no idea what it's like.
Fairmount or Manayunk would be your best bet otherwise, I think. Do you need further recs in Fairmount?
Yeah that's right my name's Yauch!
Good for them! There's nothing near the Mann. I'd recommend Fairmount. Illuminaire (their back room is pretty) or L'Oca may be good for this. Enjoy!
In Bala Cynwyd go to:
Saffron for Indian (this would be my personal pick) or Aldar for Mediterranean
In Manayunk for to:
Jakes/Coopers for expensive (yet amazingly delicious pizza) or Winnie's Le Bus for "safe" American food.
Thanks everyone!
LTP, Fairmount recs would be welcome!
Rembrandt's has a new chef and IMO the best new burger contender in town: The Rogue Burger. American fare and lots of outdoor and indoor seating.
Illuminaire and L'Oca are good recs - both Italian.
There is a new place called Fare on Fairmount across from Eastern State. I've heard nothing about it yet.
I don't recommend Jack's Firehouse or London Grill.
Bishop's Collar if all you want is a beer and a burger.
St. Stephen's Green - really nice food, pretty bar, nice staff.
Yeah that's right my name's Yauch!
