This child is going to be huge and I'm scared
Estimated size after my ultrasound today 7lbs 11oz, with 3 weeks until my due date.
I was under 6 lbs at birth.
MIL on the other hand gave birth to five 10lb babies.
Is it wrong that I resent my husband right now?
I'm scared.
Re: This child is going to be huge and I'm scared
Obviously it's fine that you're scared (and yeah, DH was 12 lbs at birth so I was freaking nervous), but they can be totally wrong about the size by the ultrasound. FWIW, the midwife was wrong about May's weight when they pulled her out! She goes "Oh, she's got to be over 9 lbs!!" and she was 7lbs 14oz.
Fingers crossed that she won't be enormous. Or, that you'll go sooner than later to keep her at a lesser weight!
It's fine you are scared!!
But...the growth u/s can always be off...remember that!
The good news is that ultrasound weight estimates are consistently wrong.
We didn't have any late ultrasounds or estimates about Nate's weight until I was already in labor. I was blissfully clueless about how big he would be. Otherwise, I would have been terrified, too. Unless, of course, I had an ultrasound that estimated his weight low...
Holy Moly, you're 27 weeks already? How the heck did that happen?
My doctor said they only gain 1/2 a pound a week, so assuming that you only have 3 more weeks, that's only an extra 1 1/2 pounds. Which could potentially only be 9lbs....uhm yea. Not helping, nevermind.
They are wrong. You'll have a small baby!
DH was only 6lbs and so was I, but I have a feeling we're having a big kid. She's filling up my pelvis and ribs - how the heck does that happen!?!
The Sand in My Snow Boots
THIS!
They told me I had a 9lb baby at 36 weeks. Robert was 7lbs 12oz.

My Randomness Blog!!
I have no idea. I told someone the other day that I have 4 and a half months left. No. Try 3 months...
