CPW: WWYD?

We're going out to eat with my dad tonight for a late Father's Day. We got him a gift, but we were also planning on paying for his dinner for part of his gift. He invited his new girlfriend along. He said he would pay for her dinner, but if he paid for his and her dinner I'd feel like the gift we got him wouldn't be enough.

  • How do you feel about him inviting his new girlfriend to Father's Day dinner?

I don't really mind if she goes, but I was a little surprised (since I didn't even know they were dating.)

  • I think as long as I didn't have a problem with the gf, and as long as the money to cover another dinner wasn't an issue, it would seem like a nicer thing to do for the dad involved to pay for both. It's important to him to bring her, I think it'd be a nice gesture to pick up the entire check. Plus, it seems like it'd be kind of awkward to split it.
