New Ring

my hubby got a new ring yesterday, totally threw me by surprise. we stopped by the jewelers to get my ring cleaned. we just happened to be in the neighborhood. was not a planned trip at all. while we were waiting for my ring, he asked to look at mens rings.

He is allergic to a lot of metals, we went with tungsten the first time cause there was not a lot metal in it but he is allergic :( can only wear it for a few hours then his finger swells and breaks out. He barley can wear the one he has now so he wanted to get a new white gold he can wear :)

so after looking at a few he found a white gold one he liked asked the lady how much and said ok ill take it,just like that. he had to have it sized so it will be a few day

soooooo, do we keep them both ??? what to do with first ring ????

I'm sentimental, so I'd probably keep the original ring. But if he can't use it at all, meh, I don't know. Are you crafty or sentimental? If not, I'd give it away or sell it.

  • I have two wedding bands and so does MFD. We keep them all.

  • I dunno.  I've always been super sentimental and would keep stuff like that, but I'm starting to realize recently how much stuff we have lying around that isn't useful.  I'd probably get rid of it.  I mean, he has a ring he's wearing now that he will wear every day.  What's the purpose of the other one?  I can see keeping it like if you'd been married for 10 years and he'd worn it every single day and then got a new one, but not sure I'd keep it in this case.
