dance class for 3-4 yr olds?
Since soccer is winding down, I'd like to get Ava involved in something else..maybe something in September.. She is ALL girl and I was thinking she might enjoy dance. However, I don't want a huge time/money commitment in case she hates it. Any decent dance places on the west side of town that are reasonably priced?
PS-about soccer-if any of you soccer moms read this- are your girls doing soccer again in July? Ava is starting to enjoy it so I was thinking about doing the July "season" too..
Mommy of 3!

Re: dance class for 3-4 yr olds?
We enrolled Ella in Just For Kix last year. They have a class called Tiny Kix for 3-4 year olds. They have several locations in the metro including one in Johnston and Waukee. We went to the Altoona/Pleasant Hill location. I liked it because the cost is only like $26 a month and the uniforms were not very expensive either. Ella wore hers 3 times through the season and may wear it a 4th time if she performs with her group at the IA State Fair so they get used more than once too.
This was a good way for us to see if Ella even would enjoy it. Her first teacher was super amazing. The class size in the spring got too small though and she had to move to a different class with a different teacher. The new teacher was good but Ella really misses her first teacher and I just found out that she will be teaching older girls next season so Ella won't have her this fall either if we enroll her again. : (
We also are going the Just For Kix route for the first year or two until we know if Sophia will enjoy dance. We will be taking her to the Waukee class, which is held on Thursdays. In Waukee this year they are separating the 3 year olds from the rest of the kids because the classes were getting too big.
I would LOVE to sign Sophia up for the July session of soccer, but with the LO on the way I'm afraid it would just be too much for us to take on.
Many of my friends have recommended just for kix as well. We did Encore Dance Academy in Ankeny and Miss Evie is the girliest girl you'll ever meet. (also my cousin) I couldn't handle all of the bling etc but Evie is an AMAZING teacher. She's just a big kid herself.
We are doing the July session of soccer. Katen LOVES it.
