So, it's been a week since I got a gel manicure. I've noticed that the polish chips a little around my nail beds as my nails grow. It's not such a big deal, since the polish around my nail beds is clear - I'm not sure how it would look if that polish was an actual color. Also, the polish bubbles a little towards the nail beds. It's kind of annoying. But, I don't feel like it looks so tacky that I need to take it all off.
One other thing is that my nails are starting to get pretty long. I don't really like them to be very long. But, I'm kind of forced to let them grow, until I decide to remove the polish.
Thoughts?

Re: Update: Gel Manicure
They look good in the picture!
I see what you mean if they were a color though... you would almost have to have them "filled" in...and for the price then you might as well go in for a polish change a couple times.
I think they look very pretty. The length would drive me crazy though...I like my nails really short. It is almost like you need to start the gel manicure with very short nails.
On a side note, one of my fave celebs is Tori Spelling (feel free to flame me!) and I follow her on Twitter. She wrote a "style" article on the gel manicure this week that had some helpful hints.
Tiffany - yes exactly like I need a 'fill'.
Sara - Oh please share, do you have a link?
Here is the Tori Spelling piece:

I have made this mistake, too and my nails looked really bad.
I'm trying real hard not to peel them. I am trying to make them last at least one more week. Then, I'm going to soak them in acetone.
Thanks Sara!
