Coming to Cin

My husband and I as well as our 3 month old baby will be coming to Cin during the weekend of July 4. I was wondering if anyone could give me some sug of where to go. We will be by the square. Thanks!!!!!

Re: Coming to Cin

  • If the Reds are in town catch a game.

Go to Newport on The Levee to walk around or grab some food.

Fountain Square is nice, have ice cream at Graeters

A "family-ish" type restaurant would be Rock Bottom.

What things are you looking to do?

Will you have a car? Maybe Kings Island, Coney Island, The Beach?

  • I would head to the Zoo or the Newport Aquarium. We took Brynn (our 4 mth old) to the Zoo a couple weeks ago and she liked it. I think she'd LOVE the Aquarium so we're planning on heading there sometime this summer.

  • I'd head to the aquarium with a baby- lots to look at!  Sometimes you can get codes for discount tickets on retailmenot.com.

    The zoo is also nice.

As for restaurants, etc..  I'm not sure I'd take an infant to Rock Bottom- it's a brewhouse.  I'm not sure where I'd go downtown to eat with a baby, but you might post this same question on the Cincinnati Babies board- it is very active and I'm sure you'll get some additional suggestions.

Eat at Montgomery Inn, Boathouse.  Get a table near the windows to sightsee the river while you eat :)  They will be doing their "all you can eat ribs" for 4th of July weekend too!  Go early, and expect a wait for this weekend special.  It starts July 1st through July 4th.

Sunday brunch at Orchids @ palm court is very good and semi casual, it's inside the Hilton downtown.

  • Coney Island is having their annual balloon glow/4th of July celebration on July 3rd.  It's always a good time and they have fireworks at night
