When you get picked up by the U.S. Marshals...
That's a pretty big deal right? This is no one in my immediate family fortunately. But it does affect someone in my immediate family in regards to her stepson (my sister). I googled out of curiosity what this might mean, but just came up with the official website for the U.S. Marshals plus the movie.

oh no. what did she make him do?
Lol......he's 8 years old and innocent.
She on the other hand has a history of drug use, so they're wondering if it's something to do with drugs.
Luckily the boy is at my sister and BIL's this month as part of a scheduled visit already, so until they have to start dealing with court hearings and such, things should be relatively normal for him.
My sister and her husband don't even know the details. They just know the mother was picked up by U.S. Marshals and she's in jail, waiting to be expedited up to Indiana (she lives in SC) for a crime that happened years ago. My sister and her husband have no idea what crime she committed, so they're in the dark as well. It just creates a headache for them regarding custody hearings and such.
