What are your favorite summer time meals?

I know there's the basic hot dogs and hamburgers, a salad with fruit mixed in. But lately I'm in a dinner making slump. All I can think of is soups and chili, and and it's too warm for that.

What's something you love to make when the weather gets hot?

I honestly use my crockpot like 10X more often in the summer than I do in the winter. Because when I get home and I'm so freaking hot, the last thing I want to do is stand over a hot stove or turn the oven on. So, we have a lot of crockpot meatloaf, roast, meatballs, chicken and stuffing, etc from the crockpot.

We use the BBQ almost every day in the summer time, and we seem to go through a lot of chicken.

We grill a lot in the summer months, fish, chicken, pork chops, turkey burgers...you name it! or we tend to do a lot fruit and veggie nights were will slice up some fruit and veggies and just snack on that for dinner. I also tend to make pasta salad more during the summer months nothings better then cold pasta when it's over 100 out!

I also like making lots of pasta salads during the summer months. I like grilling a lot during the summer as others have said. I also love melon. They are very yummy and refreshing during the summer.

We do chicken salad a lot during the summer. It's hard to think of stuff since it's never really cold here, so we grill outside almost all year. Fruit salads, sandwiches with chips, cereal (can you tell I'm a lazy cook- lol!)

I have been doing a lot of artichokes lately..if you like that...just one fills me up and then DH usually makes grilled chicken so I eat a little of his..I guess I'm the typical summer junkie-cheeseburgers and fruit!
