Not sure if this idea is totally crazy but would anyone be interested in doing a clothing swap toward the end of the summer? I've been purging my closet of items that I don't wear anymore and I've got a lot to donate. I thought this might be a fun way to do a GTG and for us all to get "new" clothing/accessories.
Thoughts, ideas, comments, opinions???
Re: Clothing Swap?
Yeah that's right my name's Yauch!
Jess- I think if enough people were interested, we wouldn?t have an issue.
Tracy- Isn?t that what we call ?vintage??!
LTP- That?s what I typically do myself. Anything that didn?t get swapped could be taken home by the original owners or left with me to be taken to the Salvation Army.
Thanks Lachute! Your adorable pic of Milo also just reminded me that since so many of you have kids, I could set up a kids section as well.
My little nuggets
I don't know, I would like to meet you since you seem cool and are so close, and rum did give me some dresses once - one of which I've worn a lot.
And with regard to sizes, I have at least three different ones hanging around. I have some very nice, in good shape 16 work clothes that need to go.
Will you put a limit on the number of pieces? I can see it all being a little overwhelming if you get a lot of interest.

I think right now I'm just looking to find out if there is enough interest for me to start thinking about planning. I'm totally "type-A" so I'm not worried about having too many items or being overwhelmed because I genuinely enjoy planning, organizing and entertaining (sick, I know).
Off of the top of my head I do not think I would limit the number of items people could contribute but I would ask that they be in good condition and washed or dry cleared. I am also thinking that it would be best if I could pick items up from people (or have them dropped off) at least one week before so that I could have everything organized and set up before everyone arrived.
There would be food and booze (of course) and I have two guest bed rooms and a full bath that could be used as dressing rooms. Lastly, I am walking distance from the Norristown (what was the R6) train line so people would be able to drive or take public transit to my place.
Clarification: Norristown train line, not station. I'm in East Falls (two stops closer to the city than Manayunk for those not familiar.)
