Re: Random Chatter

  • I'm around.  I have no motivation to work today.  I was kinda mean to Rusty last night so I am trying to think of something nice to do for him tonight that doesn't involve sex, but I can't think of anything.  I'm also trying to figure out what to make for dinner.

  • I'm here, trying to find motivation to go to the gym (for the first time in a month) and to go pick up some things at the store, but nesting, the couch, and Grey's reruns on Lifetime are winning out on me getting up and being productive.

    LOL!

I'm here, counting down the minutes til the work day is over. I just don't feel like being here anymore.

Yvonne, how was your trip to Germany? I've seen little bits and pieces, but wasn't sure if you made a post when you got back? Did you guys have a great time?

  • I'm here! I hate this weather. I want to take a nap, but I have a massive deadline tomorrow. I think my motivation disappeared with the sun...

  • Katie - the trip was great! I didn't do a post when I got back, I did post a ton of pics on FB though. We had a fabulous time! We spent 4 days in Stuttgart, which was alright, we went to the Porsche Museum and Mercedes Benz Museum there, Tony was mostly there for business during that time, so it was a little more difficult to get out to do touristy things. Stuttgart is pretty modern and industrial since much of it was destroyed during WWII. We did see one nice palace there that was actually being renovated, but they were still allowing visitors to enter and they had the crown jewels on display.

My favorite part of the trip was the 3 days we spent in Bavaria, we stayed in Garmisch at the base of the Alps and it was just breathtaking! We visited 5 castles, including Neuschwanstein and Linderhof, two of Mad King Ludwig's masterpieces. We also briefly explored Munich. I wish we had more time in Bavaria, I really wanted to go up the Zugsitze, the highest mountain in Germany, but the peak was in the clouds the whole time we were there, so it wasn't worth it to take the pretty expensive cable car ride up, we opted instead to go up the smaller Wank Mountain and it was just beautiful at the summit! The views were just amazing, much more than I had expected and much higher up than any mountain I've ever been up in the U.S. Overall, we had a fantastic time, and I was so happy to see Tony for a week, it's making getting through the rest of this deployment a little easier.

I'm sure you're super excited to go on your trip! I can't wait to hear all about it when you get back!

  • Hey Yvonne, I've been meaning to tell you that I'm sorry you have to deal with the lap/endo stuff while Tony is away. When is your appointment?

Thanks! I saw my doctor on Friday and we agreed we'd move forward with the procedure and schedule it, I asked when and she said the scheduler would get back to me but that it would normally happen in the next 2 weeks, or 3-4 if that works better for me. My sister is going to come from FL to be with me and she says she's free towards the end of July. I still haven't heard from the scheduler, I called this morning asking if the insurance approval had gone through and we can put it on the calendar but the front desk girl couldn't tell me and said the scheduler would get back to me. I'm aiming for last week in July if that works for them.

hahaha! I doubt he would protest ;)

Maybe make him is favorite dessert?

On another note, I just spilled a large cup of coffee all over the floor. Plus side is that my office smell good now.

  • hey everyone, I'm here but late. Wyatt and I were in town all day, he had to have his immunizations today, which he seems to be handling pretty well. His appointment went okay, I posted about it just a couple minutes ago.

So now that all the teachers will be off work right away, is the board going to liven up again? :D
