Anybody been to Harry Potter World?
We're headed to Florida in a couple weeks, and I'm trying to decide whether or not to stay an extra day and go to Harry Potter World. It looks fun, but I guess I haven't been to a theme park in forever, because I was shocked to see it costs $80 a ticket!!! Is it $160 worth of fun? Or should I just save my vacation time and money for something else?
Re: Anybody been to Harry Potter World?
My nephew went and loved it. I'm a big HP dork too, so I can't wait to go.
I have heard that if you're going to get there when it opens and run right to the coasters to avoid hours long lines.
We're both HP fans, so I think it would be fun. Just at that price, I don't want to get there and find out it's a let down, you know?
DH and I were in Orlando last year for a conference and decided not to go because of the price. It seems like Disney and other Orlando parks are a LOT less expensive if you make it a multiple day trip out of it. We decided to come back at some point and dedicate at least a few days to the parks so that we could use those discount packages that they make available to you.
I should tell you though, that I'm a HUGE HP fan, so this was a tough decision for me :-)

If you are a HP fan you will love it - it is amazing!! However it is expensive, and IMO, the rest of the Islands of Adventure park is kind of lame. There are only a few other rides that are kind of cool.
We went in October and there was hardly anyone there, I'm afraid in the summer it would be super packed.
Also we did one of those timeshare tours so we could get a big discount - I think it was almost like getting 2 tickets for the price of one. We paid less than $100 for 2 tickets. It took less than 2 hours - was totally worth it!
