Re: A few recipes I have made lately....
hehe - I hear ya - I bake and give away ;-) The cookies were for a teacher's last day at daycare, and the brownie bites I did for a birthday BBQ for a friend's son. Things like that cannot be in my house ;-)
I have a few new dinners planned in the next week or two and I will for sure share them!! And I look forward to others doing the same - I have been stalking pinterest for food ideas ;-)

and since my bff has made a bunch of recipes from my RI girls, she had
one she wanted to share with you:
http://www.wegmans.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?langId=-1&storeId=10052&catalogId=1&productId=348484#
she said she just uses brown sugar, pepper and salt (kind of guessing
amounts depending on how many she's making) and skips the horseradish
stuff. and those of you near northboro, ma will have a wegman's this
fall if you want to get their spice blends.
i haven't done many new recipes lately but i've been trying to be better about blogging them more.
All of those sound good. I have been told by dr to eat less desserts and carbs, watching my glucose and then needing to increase my vitamin D intake (reminds me i forgot my vitamin d last night- once a week is not goo dfor me to remember). So, the fish are some things I have been trying to add to my diet... I have been a bleck to fish attitude, so the sauces are welcoming. :-)
I'd liek to add a delish, helathy side dish- you guys prob alreay know about it but I have never had this before and loved it! Quinoa- yum! I used veg broth, onions and diced carrots- soooo good. I thought I would hate it even while cooking it, but it was filled with flavor and I didn't add any salt or pepper (very common for me).
fenwaysox: if you aren't a fan of fish, i highly recommend using cod or hake, both are flaky, white fish and basically soak in the flavor of whatever you put on them. i also just like fish with a little olive oil, lemon juice/zest, salt & pepper.
this is another great fish recipe, it reminds me of miso glazed cod i've had in restaurants: http://recipes.tysworld.com/index.php?m=recipes&a=view&recipe_id=5414
i used chilean sea bass because i couldn't find black cod.
i am planning to try quinoa soon. my bff warned me that the smell until it's cooked is not good.
Thanks for the info on the fish... I do not want to be trying fishy fish at all, can't stand the smell as it is, nevermind the taste.
As far as the smell of quinoa, I never even noticed a smell. It was in a resealable bag and i poured it as soon as i needed it, maybe that's why. ? Glad I didn't, would have been even more hesitant to try it.
Totally jealous! Wegman's is great. I also miss Hannaford markets from when I lived in the Albany area.
we have to rent a car to go to wegman's but there's now one 9 miles from us so we'll try to go every few months.
there's a hannaford's on the medway/milford line in massachusetts. not sure if that is too far for you. definitely closer than northboro though!
