Katy to Houston-Hobby during rush hour

Hey ladies,

My husband is working in Katy today and needs to be to the airport at 6pm. What is traffic like going in that direction? Anyone know how much time to allow?

Thanks!

Re: Katy to Houston-Hobby during rush hour

  • Is he catching a flight or picking someone up? If he has a flight, he needed to have left already. His bet bet, if he hasn't already left already, is taking the toll way and than it's still, "good luck" with traffic and accidents. If he's picking someone up, than I'd say no later than 5pm.

  • Rae- thanks for your response. His flight is at 8, he just need to get there by 6 to drop the car, check in, etc. Still same answer (please say no...)?

  • Katy to Hobby airport on the Beltway is a pretty fast trip barring wrecks etc which I haven't heard of any today.

If his flight is at 8 he will be fine, but I'm not a get to the airport a billion hours early kind of person.  Even turning in a car I would plan to be there by 6:30 so leave in the next 30 minutes to an hour.

Then he's fine. 5 or there about should be fine. As long as he's checked in longer than an hour before his flight/30 minutes prior to boarding. Otherwise he might have to deal with all kinds of searches at security and when boarding.
