As you girls know, ever since the movie with that title, many people have been making up their own personal bucket lists...I've kind of refrained from doing so, mainly just because I tend to get depressed at the thought that one day I wont' be here. So I tend to avoid thinking about stuff like that. But on occasion, I do get reflective, and on one these recent occasions, I got to thinking about my life and whether or not I am really living it "out loud"...
I have a few, but surprisingly not that many.
Mine so far:
**Be a Mom (hard, as H isn't there with me yet)
**Buy my Mom a new house (this involves winning the lottery, but you never know! Oh - I guess I should start playing, huh?)
**Meet Ray Lewis and tell him what an awesome impact he's had on the game I love dearly, and how happy I am that he played his career in Baltimore (You know there had to be something football related!)
**Maybe Tom Brady too. Even though he did play for NE**
**Throw out the first pitch at an O's game
**Spend one entire season traveling on the road with the Ravens
**Make someone else's dream come true
**Open a no-kill rescue home for unwanted dogs and kitties (another lottery related one...or maybe not?)
**Have a photograph published in a magazine, either online or print (working on learning how to take an awesome photo now)
**See the "Christ the Redeemer" statue in Brazil in person...
Oh, well...there's a few more. What about you girls??
Re: What is on your "Bucket List"?

**Build a master suite loft over our garage and have the bathroom I've always dreamed of!
*Be a mom

*Be a mom to a furbaby (puppy)
*Own shoes for every outfit (clearly involves the lottery and the pip question has shoes on my mind now)
* Fix up all the issues with our house
*Get hubby a car

*Help DH get his DREAM (HIGH paying) Job

*Swim in all four oceans (so far, I've only got the Atlantic checked off. But, we are going to California in September and I will cross the Pacific off my list!)
*Visit all 50 states (including taking a road trip to Alaska)
*Visit every Major League Baseball stadium in the country! (we've got quite a few checked off already, but this is me and DH's goal in retirement!)
*See the Great Wall of China
*See all of my favorite sports teams win a championship (with the Bruins victory one week ago, this one is OFFICIALLY complete!!!)
*Change someone's life by donating something to them - whether its money, blood, an organ... I just want to make a difference in someone else's life.
Good post!!!

DH and I were just talking about bucket lists and decided to start writing one together. I would like to get to Ireland at some point in my life, ride in a hot air balloon, climb Manitou Springs Incline and be in a Flash Mob. DH would like to do the Flash Mob thing and play the golf course in Vegas that has the 19 best holes in the world on it.
If you swing by my Facebook you'll find that I just started a 101 in 1001 yesterday. You all are on it

These are awesome and inspiring! I didn't add visit all 50 states, but that is one of mine too! So far, I've hit about 22, but as many of them were for business travel and I didn't really "visit", I will say that 14 is a more accurate number!
This is fun! I loved the "shoes for every outfit" - that is a fun one to work on!
I'd have to put more thought into this but this is what I've got so far
- Have dinner at the French Laundry
- Run the Boston Marathon
- Visit every country in Europe
- Go to Lebanon (where my family is from)
- Visit the Azores again (where my Mom was born)
- Buy a house
- Have at least 2 kids
- Become a teacher
- Work in a bakery
- Travel for a whole year
- Get another tattoo
I probably have a whole lot more, but that's all for now
