Summer is here! What are your fun plans?
Tuesday was the first day of summer. I'm excited! What do you all have planned this year for the warm months? Travel, family stuff, new jobs, new babies, anything at all you have planned/are looking forward to this summer that you're excited about - share it here!
Re: Summer is here! What are your fun plans?
I have the 1st-11th of July off to hang out with DS. We are going to go kayaking, to Six Flags, and the movies, plus hang out & swim at home. We are moving this summer as well, so that is fun. DH is going camping with some friends and I will be going to Vegas with the girls in Sept.
Lots of fun to look forward to!
I'm currently in Austin, Texas (for work), but it's been pretty fun! I think I like this town. I come home next week and then will be home working for the month of July.
But in August, hubby and I are headed to NYC then Iceland then doing a road trip in Germany (Rhine Valley, Bavaria, Munich), France (Alsace), and Switzerland (Berner Oberland Alps). Cannot wait.

I'm excited for DH's birthday in about a week and a half - going out for a nice dinner and getting him a fun gift that I've been wanting to get him for a few years.
We're headed to the North Coast for camping in July, which I think will be very fun.
Not sure yet what we're doing for my birthday in August but I'm sure that'll be good too.
Hoping to learn how to make jam this summer and do a bunch of baking!

To start with we're staying here http://philovacationhome.com/ this weekend with some friends. It looks amazing and I'm definitely looking forward to it!
July we have lots of plans with friends and MIL is visiting.
August we're going to Vegas!

women want to hear what they think, in a deeper voice
We have a few weddings to go to this summer so those should be fun. Our main summer project is painting the inside of our house. We also want our popcorn ceilings removed. Not really looking forward to painting, but I can't wait to see the results.
I would love to sneak off to Disneyland for a day or two, but not sure if that is going to happen since we need to buy painting supplies!
Wow L, that place looks super cool! We're going camping at Hendy Woods with SIL/BIL, their kiddos and a few friends the weekend after the 4th of July. I just love the Anderson Valley area. We're also going camping closer to home in August, and hopefully a couple more times before fall.
So besides camping, most of our summer will be spent settling into our new house! Fumigation tent comes off tomorrow, I just arranged for it to be thoroughly cleaned Saturday morning, and we move in that afternoon. I'm in denial about needing to pack, but really looking forward to the unpacking, organizing and decorating part. Next weekend we're having a big 4th of July BBQ to show our friends our new place. Hope we're somewhat unpacked by then! We'll have some minor home projects to occupy our weekends too.
I started taking an online class this week too that goes until the end of July. Exciting stuff.
I've already been to Disneyland, San Diego Zoo, Wild Animal Park (Safari Park), Coronado, Sea World.
I've got a week of inlaws including a trip to reno-tahoe coming up
Other than that, it's me and Q hanging out

Hey, that's cool!
Coming home will be fun! I'm hoping to hang out in Anchorage for a day or two on the way.
In August I'm going on a road trip with my sister and best friend to Vegas, Bryce National Park, the Grand Canyon, and Sedona. Tooootally looking forward to that!
I might drive up through Oregon and Washington in July, or maybe wait until fall.
I'm mostly just looking forward to hanging out with my sister and friends and family lots. And shopping. I've waited so long to go shopping. It's ON when I get back!
I'm hoping to get some things to the house done but I need my parents to get motivated. I originally wanted to start in the kitchen but with the way the stock market is going I'm opting for the less expensive which is taking down pop-corn ceilings, removing wall paper, and painting. (The house is being fixed up with money from my grandfather's estate) I'm willing to take down some of the pop-corn in the bedrooms but we need someone to come in and do the living room, dining room, and hallway. Plus, the ceilings and walls need to be textured once the pop corn and wall paper come off.
We've already taken one trip to the coast and we're hoping to do one more in August. We're going to LA in a couple of weeks to see my favorite musical, Les Miserables (SO EXCITED!) and visit in the in-laws of course. A few days after that, MIL and SIL are coming in for a concert and we might go up to Yosemite or go to San Francisco while they're here.
We're going to Chicago in a few weeks and I'm really excited about that and I'll be sneaking out to CA for a quick weekend in September. Other than that, we'll be local. I have lots of visitors coming out this year and I can't wait. My bff is coming in August, I get to GTG with Hannah (!) in August and another bff is coming for Labor Day weekend. There is also talk of a Cape Cod weekend with the IL's, so that would be cool too.
I'm back to working on my to-do list so I want to get to a show, take a trapeze class and go to the Botanical Gardens. and go back to the Met to see the Alexander McQueen exhibet.
Lots of NYC day trips!
