Help me with nursery bedding

So I like this one

http://www.nurserydepot.com/cribbedding/productdetails.asp?id=1-10001834-10001836-146191-4-2&id2=602-0-0-0-0&

I really like this one- the print is kind of exactly what I originally was looking for. However...then I found this.

The pro on the second is we already have a framed print FIL brought us back from China that is up in our room that we could move to the nursery. And then we would just find a replacement for our room.

Which do you like more? 1 or 2?

  • They're both really nice, but I prefer the first. It seems a little more elegant to me. You really can't go wring with either though :)

    btw, how is it going?

Yeah, I really love the first also. I also think with just the two colors I have more flexibility for mixing and matching lamps, pillows, ottoman, etc KWIM?

It's going! Definitely an adjustment. She's a big sleeper. We try to play with her (e.g. rattle things, sensory toys, etc) but she keeps falling asleep. I guess that's what babies do! She's been waking up 2 times on average a night, minus one night where we slept for maybe 45 minutes, that sucked.

It's amazing the constant state of tired one can live on though. I mean, even though she's only waking up a couple times right now, I'm always on alert when I'm sleeping- a move, a twitch, a peep I shoot right up.

ya, you'll definitley have more flexibility with the first. Very pretty! You'll have to post a pic when you have it all set up.

ya, they sleep a ton those first few days... And months. It seriously was like someone flipped a light switch at 3 months and she decided it was time to wake up and play :) thats awesome sleep though! Go Ava!!!! That's pretty much exactly what Margot did! Night 3 we got 0 sleep, but other than that she only woke up twice, then once, and now she sleeps 9-10 hours straight! I hope Ava keeps it up and is a great sleeper like it seems she is!!

Its crazy how your sleep changes so much. I used to be the hardest sleeper and could sleep through anything!! Now, I'm up at the slightest noise. Oh and I remember those first few weeks having dreams that she was in the bed under all of the covers. I would wake up frantic ripping the bed apart trying to find her until I realized it was all a dream and she was sleeping peacefully in her crib. Made me feel crazy though! Haha I hope your spared the crazy dreams :)

Sounds like "being a parent." :)

    I adore the second one.

  • I love the first one. It was a hot contender in our bedding choices as well.
  • I like the first one.

  • I guess my question is, will this be something you use when she's a toddler too? I know lots of people get those convertible cribs and use the same bedding.  If that's the case, I vote for 2 because it seems more little girl but I like the elegance of 1.

I don't know.  I think I still like 1 better over all too.  The one thing I really like about 2 is the birdie mobile...

    PCOS and Endo

Ovarian drilling and endo removed 1/3/12
    BFP - 3/27/12
    Beta's 11, 14, 57, 637, 2800
Sono showed no baby and teeny tiny sac. Waiting to M/C naturally.

  • I really like them both.  If you have a painting that will match #2, that could work out really good too.

If Ava is only getting up twice a night, I'd consider yourself lucky!  Our longest stretch of sleep we currently get is only 6 hours, so we are still up a lot.

Don't worry about too much entertaining now.  What I remember of those first few weeks is that if they aren't hungry or wet they are asleep:)

  • I like number two, number one  kinda makes my eyes hurt after awhile.

like Ashley said, I think number two is something that she could use for quite awhile ( like until she is able to voice her own opinions ! )

  • I vote #2.  I'm a sucker for cherry blossom prints.
  • I like the bird and blossom one the best. The pattern on the other one is getting tired and done to death- like a fashion on its way out. In a year or two you would probably hate it. Plus it seems way older- with so much cutesy stuff around it will blend in better.
  • Both are cute, but I love the second one!

  • Another vote for the second one.  They both are cute, but there's just something about the second one I like more.
