House PIP's and Akward neighbor situation

The house we bought is a shortsale. The previous owner decided to sell because the house was going to be foreclosed on. Well, our neighbors to the right moved and rented their house to the previous owner of our house so now she's our neighbor. She was crying when she turned over the keys yesterday. Now I'll likely see her everyday until she moves. I feel bad for her and I just hope it isn't akwkard. The house needs some minor cosmetic work done but overall is in good condition. We plan to do a lot of the work ourselves little by little. As promised, here are some pictures. Olivia on the front porch. You can't see it but there's an orange tree in that planter. image The view from the front door into the house. image The kitchen counter and cabinets which we'll replace someday soon. image Our room. Olivia's is similar but has two small windows instead of one bigger one. image The backyard with the empty (for now) pool. There's a small patio which is the shaded area and on the right behind the garage there's also a small grassy area. image

Re: House PIP's and Akward neighbor situation

  • The house looks great. So jealous of the pool. Hope the neighbor situation gets easier. I am sure it will.

  • the pictures look great! I'm sorry about the neighbor thing. I would feel bad too. Do you know how long she'll be next door?

  • Congrats! The house overall looks great! That would be very awkward to have the previous owners living next door.
  • Awesome!  Thanks for sharing.  Hopefully it will get easier with the neighbour over time.

  • Your house looks great--congrats! And I hope things aren't too awkward with the neighbor, and that she's able to move quickly (I imagine it's probably hard for her to stay there).

  • Looks great! I hope the neighbor isn't next door for too long or make things too awkward.
