medical question - why does it suddenly feel like there's water in my ear?

WTF?  this just started in the last hour - I think my ear keeps popping - but it doesn't hurt or really "feel" like its popping, but something weird is going on.  I haven't been submerged in a pool in months.

  • I get that sometimes when my sinuses drain (often due to atmospheric pressure changes, weirdly enough.)

  • Ditto MLB - I get that with my sinuses. Sudafed helps a lot!

  • Claritin D helps me with that.  It's sinuses/allergies for me.
  • Try decongestant for a while (the behind the counter kind), but if it doesn't go away in a few days it could be an infection.  I had that same feeling, water in 1 ear like I'd been swimming, for over a week.  Went to the dr and she said it was an infection due to allergy congestion, I think the fluid was prevented from draining or something.  I had to take an antibiotic.
