I didn't realize you work with welding industry!
I interned at John Deere a few summers and a lot of the work I did was checking submittals from contractors on welded pieces. Since I had no real clue about welding (and different types), my boss set up a welding workshop for me and other interns in our factory. Out of 8 people (6 guys, 2 girls); we had a welding contest at the end of the day and I won! I was so proud. I got a certificate (and free lunch) and I think I still have the piece somewhere at my parents house. Lol.

How cool! Apparently, women seem to be better welders than men because we are much more stable with our hands. I knew absolutely NOTHING about the welding industry before I started this job 3 years ago. I actually came from a textbook publishing company and basically did the same thing - logistics. I just dealt with books as opposed to welding guns, nozzles, etc.
We don't actually do any welding at our location, but I was a part of a training demonstration and I spent the day doing different types of welding. It was hard! I'm happy behind the computer at my desk thank you very much!

Ugh yes, I like my desk job also. I was soo hot and sweaty both days that I tried it!
