Keeping an electronic journal (blogging I guess)

So I was thinking that I want to start writing stuff down so that I don't forget these times.  I was going to get a blogspot (private, not public) thingamajig, but then mrbourbon said but what if blogspot dies some day?  I said, well, I don't want a boring old word doc , which could blow up any old day if the computer croaks and we haven't backed it up.

The question is - do you keep a journal? if so how/where?

Warning No formatter is installed for the format bbhtml

Re: Keeping an electronic journal (blogging I guess)

  • I don't blog but I use Google Documents as an online back up system for general MS Office docs.  Maybe if you used Word and saved them there?  It's internet based and private so you shouldn't run out of room.  I don't know.  Just spit balling.
  • you just need to back it up. i have a livejournal don't write in it anymore but it over 10 years old.
  • If you're afraid of things crashing and losing the electronic file you could always print them out periodically and turn them into a book.  I saw a website (I can't remember which one) that let's you publish your own books and you can add pictures.  That would be cool to do year by year.
