It dawned on me today as I recieved our first baby gift that I feel incredibly old...ish lately. Looking back, this time last year I was excited over the china sets I was getting for wedding presents...and now I'm excited about getting a stroller?!?
What's worse is that ten years ago I was just excited to be allowed to invite boys to my birthday party, and to get a new set of butterfly clips for my hair (remember those???).
It freaks me out how much things change every year I get older. Anyone else feel that way???
Re: Feeling old-ish...
It is pretty crazy how things change so fast. Granted, we aren't having a baby or buying a house or anything but still - it's just weird to think that we've now been married for about a year and settling into life together.
I feel old because my 10 year high school reunion is this weekend. I'm not going but still. It's crazy to think that one of my friends (and freshman year roommate) has 4 kids now!!

I know how you feel!!! Between baby, celebrating our wedding anniversary in a week or so, and my sister starting high school, I feel ancient. Five years ago, I was getting excited for my senior year of college; I never would have though then that now I'd be married, pregnant, getting a second masters and worrying about gray hairs! yipes!
LOL- my car still has crank windows! I just got this 2004 cavalier in January. My last two cars (2000 cavalier and 1991 buick skylark) also had crank windows.
The best part is when someone to my right makes the motion for me to roll down my windows....I can't reach the passenger side window crank from the drivers seat!
I felt old the other day when I found DH's first gray hair!
And I also feel old when on a Friday night if someone wants to make plans that involve being up past ten I cringe.
And when the thought of a hangover (which seem to get worse and worse as the years go by) make me too scared to get drunk.
And when a co-worker was talking about her 21 year old daughter today I just kept thinking how YOUNG she is, and then caught myself thinking ok I'm ONLY 28, why do I feel so old?!!!!
haha YUP! my husband and i just had that convo because we finally bought a truck. and it has crank windows :P

My first born is turning 13 on July 12!
YIKES!
I don't feel like I am old enough to have a 13 year old, even though I know I am. It goes by so super fast, enjoy every moment.
I honestly don't feel old, but I am definitely conscious of my age because I want to have kids but don't want to be an "old" mom. So I feel the pressure to start, but know that the circumstances are not right. Maybe in the next few months we will start, but I want to at least have a baby after the end of next school year. That will allow me to get my 3 years with the district and no longer be on "probation" even though I have a contract.
I know how you feel! My little cousin (who I used to babysit) graduated high school this year....ugh!
That makes me feel really old.
Granted I'm going to be 24 this summer....but I feel like the last few years have flown by, I've been out of high school for six years, that's crazy to me!
