need ideas for a farewell gift
One of our co workers is leaving the company and moving out of state and we are throwing her a party on the 30th. Were are trying to think of a nice gift we could give her.
We had thought of a framed picture of the whole group but not everyone is around to do that.
Any ideas?!
Thanks!

I like that idea!
as much as i like people i have worked with in the past, i wouldn't really ever have a framed pic of us on the wall in my house... and if i did, after a while that would kind of lose its luster. i'd go with something more useful, or if you want to do a momento, something functional.
i like the idea of a texas something : )

YES! LOL. We went 100 times when we first moved into our house. And we always end up going twice in one day - we either forget something, break something additional, or require something we didn't know we needed. Every. Time.
Instead of the framed thing, you could do just a small book that people could write well-wishes in. Especially if she worked with some for 30 years...It is a thing in the hotel bus that when you leave you get a framed photo of the building, but everyone signs the mat. I love looking at them in the offices of people who have been around because people will sign the funniest stuff.
Or you could frame something Texas-ish and have people sign the mat around that.
Does she have a business card? Instead of a picture, you could use that for the center of a mat-type picture, and have everyone sign around it - like pp suggested.
