Rec your lube.

We've tried a few over the years and we're looking to switch it up. Condoms are not an issue so don't worry about recommending something that could wreck them.

Re: Rec your lube.

  • Wet Platinum!!!!!!  Its the ONLY lube we use and Love it! its great for massages too, and you dont have to switch back and forth like you would massage oil and lube.

Really? we hated KY his and hers.  we bought it when it first came out for like $20... first off the bottles don't stand up, so its messy, and mine just felt cold and tingly like you said, but the "his" didn't do a thing for us.

  • A lot of lubes can cause yeast infections.  Wet makes one that's Ph Balanced, it works great if you tend to get yeast infection easily.  However, it doesn't last as long as platinum.  Platinum is great, but sometimes people complain that it leaves them feeling really wet afterwards, too, and it doesn't wipe off easily.  You have to use soap and water.

The advantage of Wet is that you can open the bottle and squeeze it out with one hand due to the flip top.

  • If you're looking for a basic, go-to, does it all lubricant, go for Astroglide.  You can likely get it at Walgreens.  It's water soluble and derm tested...I've loved it.  I actually heard about it in a masters class for sex therapy and they suggested that brand and wet.  Wet, I've used as well...I'd use that if you're looking for a flavored lubricant.

  • Coconut oil is the way to go :) just takes a little bit, is natural, and naturally anti-fungal & antimicrobial (No infections, yay!) Don't knock it til you try it, you will be glad you did!
  • Interesting.  I don't have a Whole Foods or any such store near me, so I'm not sure where to come across coconut oil.  I suppose I may find it in the organic section of Kroger.  My questions is...does it save?

  • You can actually just find it in the baking aisle at kroger, next to the other oils, and shortening. It's about $5 for a LouAna tub, just store it in a cool, dry place. The oil is solid until about skin temp, then it "melts" and becomes like a regular oil.
