Just booked hotel for Anniversary Weekend!
I am excited that DH and I decided on what we want to do :-) Even though Detroit doesn't sound like much... that's where we are going! We just moved to MI and currently live in a smaller-ish town on the lake. We were planning on going to another town on the lake for the weekend, but then we though - we can spend the weekend on the lake whenever we want! So the City it is! We want to go to some museums, sight see, and eat at a fancy restaurant. My DH is a huge car guy so I know we'll be hitting up some of the automotive attractions while we are there. We are going to be staying at the Marriot at the Renaissance Center right on the river. It looks like a nice hotel with good views.

Though I'm sure there are a million nicer places to spend a weekend, we've never been there so it's going to be an adventure. I'm excited to have a weekend away planned with my hubby!!

It sounds like you're going to have a really good time! It's so nice to just get away every once and a while, even if it is closer to home.
DH and I will be in Mexico for our anniversary for our late honeymoon, so I'm really looking forward to that.
